With the increasing of the depth and production of coal mining, emission and pressure of gas are increasing, risk of gas explosion accidents increased dramatically, seriously restricting the coal mine production safety. To carry out barrier gas explosion materials and devices is imminent. Based on the mechanism of gas explosion at home and abroad,treat porous materials as the main barrier explosive materials,to be selected by theoretical analysis. Reaching the barrier properties of porous materials and the mechanism of explosion by own designed experimental system. Experiments show that wire mesh and ceramic foam all have fire blocking ability,wire mesh has good performance against blast damage and ceramic foam has good resistance to sintering.They all have a certain attenuation on explosion overpressure,while ceramic foam is better. Rational combination of wire mesh and ceramic foam can learn from each other to play a single material advantages and to reduce the extent of damage of combination and strengthen explosion suppression. Establishing evaluation model for ceramic foam material selection is treated as scientific basis for selection of material of automatic throttle burst blocking in the coal mine.
