With the rapid development of China's economy,the level of urbanization has also increased.As a mode of land transportation,automobile sector is an important component of the transportation industry.Therefore,automobile transportation increasingly becomes an important part of economic life.In 2016,China produced about 28.12 million cars,a year-on-year growth of 14 percent,while selling over 28.00 million cars,an increase of 14%for eight consecutive years,which is ranked first in the world.The energy consumption of the automobile industry has been increasing and the growth rate has accelerated significantly.In 2015,the total energy consumption of the automobile sector was accounting for 9.4%of total China's energy consumption and 50%of the national oil consumption.In order to promote China's energy conservation and the development of new energy industry,the Chinese government has introduced various subsidy policies.The significance of restraining the energy consumption of the automobile sector lies in easing the trend of expanding dependence on foreign oil and ensuring oil security.On the other hand,curbing the growth of automobile energy consumption is an important measure for improving the air quality.In this paper,energy consumption of China's automobile sector was calculated on the basis of car ownership,and the calculation method and results are applied in the study of post text.On this basis,this paper first put the perspective on private transportation.The paper analyzed the development path of electric vehicles in China under the constraints of environment and energy security.Further from the micro perspective,the paper discussed the impact of oil price changes on the use and purchase of automobile consumers.Then the paper discussed the energy problem of urban public transportation.The paper analyzed the influence of rail transit and urban public transport efficiency on private automobile energy consumption.The main innovation of this topic is the lack of economic research on the energy problem of automobile sector.Especially under the background of China's car ownership explosive growth,still few literatures about how to control the local surge in car ownership and rapid growth of energy consumption from the perspective of economic policy.The innovation and contribution of this study can be summarized from the following aspects.Firstly,energy consumption of China's automobile sector is calculated on the basis of car ownership,which made up for the existing statistical data and accounting methods.Secondly,the existing new energy vehicle planning lacks scientific basis,and there are few literatures to study this problem.This study traces back to the original significance of electric vehicles,exploring the development path of new energy vehicles from the perspective of environment and energy security,which makes up for the deficiencies of existing planning and research.Thirdly,this study investigates the impact of oil price changes on consumer behavior from a micro perspective.Fourthly,the current research on rail transit mainly focuses on the impact of the construction of rail transit on the surrounding land and added value,as well as on the environment and pollutant emissions.At present,there is a lack of research on the relationship between the construction of rail transit and automobile energy consumption,and it is not clear whether the construction of rail transit can play a role in restraining the growth of automobile energy consumption.Therefore,this study also has certain contribution in this aspect.Fifthly,there are two main improvement directions in current research in the efficiency of urban public transportation,one is mainly concentrated in a particular region,more than the lack of efficiency of regional horizontal comparison,on the other hand is focused on basic DEA model.On this basis,this study calculates the operating efficiency of the bus system in different cities.On the other hand,this study added congestion index as undesired output,which enriched the connotation and dimension of previous efficiency index.In terms of influencing factors of automobile energy consumption,there is still no discussion on the relationship between public transportation efficiency and private car energy consumption,which is also an important contribution of this study.
