Xue Ji's Academic Thought And Clinical Experience In Gynecology

Xue Ji is proficient in medicine and is a well-known physician in the Ming Dynasty.He has significant clinical effects in the treatment of gynecological diseases.At present,although some scholars have conducted research on Xue Ji's academic thoughts and treatment experience in the field of gynecology,they are often limited to the study of a certain disease syndrome,and no research can fully reflect Xue Ji's academic system of gynecology.Therefore,the full picture of gynecological academic thinking and clinical experience needs to be further explored.Objective:This paper aims to comprehensively excavate and summarize Xue Ji's academic thoughts and clinical experience in gynecology,and strive to objectively and comprehensively reflect Xue Ji's core academic thoughts,syndrome differentiation ideas,medication characteristics and clinical experience in gynecology,so as to show his complete gynecological syndrome differentiation and treatment system in the aspects of theory,method,prescription and medicine.This thesis helps to inherit and carry forward his unique academic system and effective clinical experience in gynecology,continuously enrich and develop the academic theories and treatment methods of traditional Chinese medicine gynecology,and better guide clinical practice to improve clinical efficacy.Methods : This thesis uses the research ideas and methods of traditional philology to sort out,summarize,dig and summarize the contents of women's medical theory and records in Xue Ji's gynecological works Nvke Cuoyao,Jiaozhu Furen Liangfang,Neike Cuoyao,Waike Fahui,Waike Xinfa,Waike Shuyao,Baoying Cuiyao,and Baoying Cuoyao.Results:Xue Ji's gynecological diagnosis and treatment is based on the thought of tonifying and transforming the spleen and cultivating the vitality,tonifying the spleen and kidney,regulating and nourishing the liver blood,smoothing emotions,and tonifying qi and blood.His clinical medication is based on the thought of five viscera syndrome differentiation and four diagnostic methods,paying attention to warming and tonifying without abandoning cold,taking medicine at the right time in combination with the weather,using ancient prescriptions flexibly and applying both inside and outside.Xue Ji is good at using Buzhong Yiqi Decoction,Guipi Decoction,Liujunzi Decoction,Xiaoyao Powder,Liuwei pill,Xiaochaihu Decoction,Shiquan Dabu decoction,Bazhen Decoction and Siwu Decoction to treat menstrual disease,leukorrhea,pregnancy,postpartum diseases,and gynecological miscellaneous diseases caused by spleen and stomach deficiency,disharmony between liver and spleen,insufficiency of spleen and kidney,and deficiency of spleen and lung qi.On the basis of inheritance,Xue Ji continued to bring forth new ideas.He skillfully used tonifying method to restrict fire to treat menstrual diseases,external method to treat sores,food therapy to treat postpartum diseases and single medicine to treat miscellaneous diseases.In addition,a series of new prescriptions(Jieyu Decoction,Tongqi powder,Haizao Sanjian pill,Shujin powder,Zhuye Decoction)and new methods(The method of ‘medicine passed from breast',obstetric disinfection,diagnosis of early breast cancer,methods of protecting fetus,mental comfort midwifery,Buzhong Yiqi Decoction in the treatment of uterine ptosis)were created.Xue Ji's gynecological academic thoughts and clinical experience had a profound influence on Wenbu school,Yishui school,Ziyin school,as well as later physicians Sun Yikui,Zhao Xianke,Zhang Jiebin,Li Zhongzi,Hu Shenrou,Wang Kentang,Wu Zhiwang,and Zhang Lu.Conclusions:For gynecological diseases,Xue Ji put forward the physique view of "women take blood as the basic",the pathological physique view of "women with stagnated liver and spleen",the treatment view of "stomach qi is the foundation of human",the new therapeutic concept of warming the spleen and kidney to reconcile yin and yang,and the new idea of treating menstrual disease by tonifying method to restrict fire.Xue Ji paid special attention to pulse method in disease differentiation,based on qi and blood to differentiate and treat diseases of the five internal organs,had unique system to regulate gynecological diseases,used medicines in harmony with Yin and Yang of heaven and earth,advocated multiple methods of internal and external treatment,and formed a complete gynecology syndrome differentiation and treatment system in the aspects of principle,method,prescription and medicine,formed a complete gynecological differentiation and treatment system in theory,method,prescription,and medicine,which greatly improves the clinical efficacy.Xue Ji's gynecological academic thoughts and clinical experience have a profound impact on the later generations of traditional Chinese medicine physicians,and have important clinical guiding significance.
