A Comment On The Historical Prose Since 1990s

The tradition of prose writing has existed since ancient history. In the 20th century, the fate of history and tradition is unrest in the modernization process and prose has a comfortable and ethereal style. Until the 1990s, the opening and diversity cultural contexts have been formed; historical prose writing becomes a growing trend and shows different ideological and aesthetic qualities in the bold innovation on the basis of inheritance. History prose has not only broken the too small pattern of prose into a large state, but also brought the power of innovation heterogeneous to the history of literary, making the way of thinking from the focus on narrative to Lyric, changing narrative content from the characters'speaking directly to the author's appearance, the narrative stress from revealing the law of historical development to the existence and emotion of the individual.This dissertation deliberately focuses on the characteristics of historical prose, based on 1990s aiming at its features varies with different cultural contexts, then analysis the authors' view of history, image of hero and aesthetic characters after the Infiltration of history and prose. At the end standing in the modern era, the dissertation examines the value and limitations of historical prose, providing a useful reference to its creation and research in the future.The dissertation consists of four chapters besides the introduction and conclusion. The details are as follows:1. Introduction:In this part the author offers a macro point of 1990s'historical prose, and concludes the changes of essays and historical literature. At first significance of the important position of historical literature is been pointed out, and investigates the construction of value system of historical prose.2. Chapter 1:In this part the author teases out the overall of historical prose from the vertical view, and analysis the historical and cultural reasons. Anchored on 1990s, three periods are divided; the author outlines its features of different period with historical background, the cultural context and literary trends.3. Chapter 2:This part deals with three critical elements in the historical prose from a perspective of history consciousness:facts, culture as key element promoting history to move on and ethics of good or evil.4. Chapter 3:In this part the author analyzes the phenomenon of peer review at between the author and the image through analyzing image in historical prose. As a focus of historical prose, emperors, scholars and women's writing reflects the author's fate thinking which including people in history and themselves, especially the cultural destiny of themselves.5. Chapter 4:This chapter will focus on the aesthetic questions in the creative writing. Historical culture makes prose showing a mixture and open state, but rigid model is a definite fate, of exploring style, thus prose needs to have a new addition of newcomers; The art way of symbolic to unite the historical culture presents different characteristics of prose contrast to the past.6. Conclusion:Based on the previous discussion, the author summarizes the thought and aesthetic problems of writing. But some problems still need to be resolved such as the lost of creative concept and the lack of aesthetic art. It depends of the promotion of author's capacity. Lyrical makes the expression of historical perception unique and limited, so prose is just a one-dimensional, but not all.
