The Research On Pre-Song Literature’s Quotations From Chunqiu

Previous researches on the quotations from Chunqiu(春秋)in ancient literature, based on Chunqiu for the purpose of testification and emendation, all showed disregards of the immanent value of those quotations. In addition, these studies focused on the different aspects of the text. But their collection of different characters were incomplete, and their textual research full of careless omission. This dissertation comprehensively collects and analyzes the quotations from Chunqiu in forty-eight pre-Song(宋)literature, and makes researches as follows:1. Discuss the relationship of Chunqiu and every literature, as well as the value of quotations from Chunqiu in each literature.2. Summarize the rules of quotations from Chunqiu in pre-Song literature, which can provide some measures for the emendater of ancient texts.3. Outline the development and reception history of the study on Chunqiu from pre-Qin(先秦)to Han(汉)through analyzing the correlative recordation, and the influence of Chunqiu on the politics, ideology, and society of Han dynasty.4. Educe the application rules of the allusive meaning of Chunqiu by analyzing the allusive meaning of Chunqiu cited in literature.5. Study the conversion of academic thinking by analyzing the difference between quotations from Chunqiu in pre-Song literature and the current version of Chunqiu,thinking.6. Analyze the different text of Chunqiu with the method of phonology, and provide some original material for the phonology study.7. Investigate the vocabulary and grammar evoluion from pre-Qin to Han through the analysis of the different text of Chunqiu.8. Summarize some general rules of ancient literature emendation by researching the corruption of quotations from Chunqiu.9. Provide some opinions of emendation and punctuation for some ancient literature.10. Compile lots of ancient annotations of Chunqiu omitted by predecessors, especially anonymous ancient annotations which had been neglected.11. Emendate and annotate Chunqiu through the quotations.The second part of this dissertation analyzes the different texts between the current version and the quotations from Chunqiu in pre-Song literature word by word.
