Research On Zhang Ding's Art Design Thought

Research on Zhang Ding's Art Design Thought is formed by five major parts.Clued on Zhang Ding's art accomplishments, Zhang Ding's Biography introduce his art design activities overall chronologically and separately from four respects as follows:patriotic professional artist; designer serve proletarian revolution; art design educator and education administrator with pioneering spirit; "big artist" and "big designer".Basing on specialized fields of art design, Zhang Ding and Art Design of China probes into Zhang Ding's art design activities. This chapter divides his works into three main classes such as visual communication design; product design and environmental design and each of these are subdivided. Giving detailed analysis of these works, it also sums up the style of his works in different kinds of design field and concludes his creation discipline of design.Zhang Ding and Art Design Education in China includes contents of two respects. Firstly, it chronologically introduces his teaching and management activities in the art design education. Secondly, probe into his influence and contribution to China's art design education by the historical fact and conclude three respects as setting up tradition-directed, folk art-directed, life-directed and practice-directed art design educational policy; founding decoration school and promoting further investigation with the beauty form; rejuvenating the Chinese mural painting and driving a national mural painting campaign.Research on Zhang Ding's Art Design Thought divide Zhang Ding's thought development course into three periods and conclude his thoughts to China's art design and viewpoints on art design education. Combining the era background, this chapter also trace back his ideological roots from both ideology and artistic respects and emphasize such impacts on his philosophy of art design as Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Lu Xun, Zhang Guanglv, and Picasso, etc..Contemporary Enlightenment from Zhang Ding's Art Design Thought, the last chapter, combining the current situation in the field of China's art design education, probe into the value of Zhang Ding's art design thought and the reference meaning of his art life to the current society. It focuses on four respects as follows:the designer's professional quality, the teaching system in China's art design education, the nationalization of art design, and the development of art design in China.The innovation mainly reflected in three aspects.First, on account of the subject of this thesis, which makes a study of Zhang Ding's thought in art design ground, there are certain innovative consciousness both in the choice of research object and study contents.Second, this thesis divides Zhang Ding's art design thought into three periods: from Zhang Ding's school days to arriving in Yanan in 1938; form 1939 to the ending of "The Cultural Revolution" in 1976; from 1977 to 2010 when he passed away, and separately probe into his main art design thought in different periods. This division way is easy to study Zhang Ding's art design thought and find out characteristics of his thought.Third, tracing back the source of Zhang Ding's thought from both ideological and artistic respects and pointing out Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping's impact on his thought, which offered a new thinking way to Zhang Ding studies.
