The study refers to the Conglin reform(religion reform of Chinese Buddhism)in Ming and Qing Dynasty and the ideology of Vinaya School(Buddhism religious discipline)in the perspective of cultural transformation.The paper investigates the theory and content Vinaya School in the background of Buddhism development,as well as ideology and culture in Ming and Qing Dynasty.There are 6 parts elaborating the theme:the outline of Vinaya School ideology,the origin of Vinaya School(mergence of schools and thoughts,absorbing all into one),the theories of Vinaya School(using zen.Tiantai,Huayan to explain Vinaya School),the study methods of Vinaya School(collecting Sukhavati into Tantra),and the practice of Vinaya School.The outline of Vinaya School ideology,the development outline and thought background of Vinaya School in Ming and Qing Dynasty.elaborates the revivification and the theoretical characteristics of Vinaya School in the academic transformation period of Ming and Qing Dynasty.This part,as the introduction and theoretic structure of Vinaya,introduces the history background,academic background and situation of Vinaya School in Ming and Qing Dynasty and elaborates the logic,function,characteristics and three systems of Vinaya SchoolThe integration of Vinaya School,the emergence and development of Vinaya School in the third part of the paper.discusses genealogy.ideological heritage and regional propagation of Vinaya School.This part discusses Guxin's recovery of Vinaya,Vinaya of Sixifengdeng,the emergence and genealogy of Qianhua Vinaya,Mingzhong and Gulin's Vinaya theory,regional propagation.compatible understanding of Vinaya as well as the ideological heritage from Jiguang to Wenhai.The origin of Vinaya School,referring to the integration of Hinayana vinaya and Bodhisattva vows,discusses the exegesis and popularity of Hinayana vinaya,the explanation and effect of Bodhisattva vows.This part,through investigating the exegesis of Hinayana vinaya and Bodhisattva vows,indicates the theoretic features of ideological integration of Hinayana vinaya and Bodhisattva vows in Ming and Qing Dynasty.The chapter includes the history of Vinaya School,the theoretic background of Sifen tradition and South-mountain school,the exegesis of Sifen vinaya in Ming and Qing Dynasty,the classic explanation of Bodhisattva vows,and Ten-cores-eighteen-branches in Fanwang.The theories of Vinaya School and the study methods of Vinaya School,the ideological trend of explanations of Vinaya and the study methods of Sukhavati and Tantra into Vinaya,are the fifth and sixth chapter of the paper.The fifth chapter investigates the thought tradition and theoretic features of Vinaya,and the sixth chapter elaborates the practice of Sukhavati referring to the integration Tantra into Vinaya.Two parts are discussed in the perspective of whole development of Buddhism including Zen,Sukhavati,Vinaya,Tantra,Tiantai,Huayan and Weishi,and aim to illustrate the application and signification of Vinaya in the context of Buddhism transformation.The practice of Vinaya School mainly illustrates the popularization of Vinaya and integration with Confucianism in Ming and Qing Dynasty.In the part of popularization,the author hold that the practice of Vinaya meets the needs of time,academy and development,as well as the progress of Buddhism actualization and evolution.With the theoretic character of practice,Chinese Buddhism as an academic category shows it in the spirit,philosophy and faith of Mahayana.Buddhism is not only a religion.but also a perfect integration of religion,reality and transcendenceThe first chapter of paper reviews the studies about Vinaya School in Ming and Qing Dynasty,and elaborates the frame,signification,questions and solutions of the paper.
