TheBook of Songs is the first collection of poetry in ancient China. With its rich content of thoughts and superb artistic techniques,it not only continuously affects the poetry of Chinese descendants, but also profoundly affects the countries of the world, especially the neighboring countries of China, including Vietnam. This thesis titled"The Influence of The Book of Songs on Vietnam" discusses the translation of TheBook of Songs in Vietnam, the way for the Vietnamese writers and poets to absorb the essence of The Book of Songs, and the influences of literary creation of The Book of Songs on Vietnamese culture, especially language and literature. In the process of research,we use the literature method, statistical method, analytical comparison method and reasoning method to deeply explore the influence of The Book of Songs on various aspects of Vietnam. There are four chapters in this thesis. The first chapter examines the spread andtranslation of The Book of Songs in Vietnam, paying special attention to the Chu Nom translation and Vietnamese national languages of The Book of Songs in Vietnam. The exploration of the rhyming version is more prominent. It is found in the research that the Vietnamese rhyme translation of The Book of Songs is more flexible, some are in four words, five words, six words or eight words, some are in double seven or six or eight words, and some have uncertain words. However, the poems in six or eight words and in double seven or six or eight words are slightly prominent, because these two types are the most traditional in Vietnamese poetry creation. In the feudal era,due to the selection of the Four Books and Five Classics in the imperial examination system in Vietnam, the study and research of The Book of Songs received more attentions. The spread of the The Book of Songs in Vietnam is also diverse, and it has become part of the cultural life of the Vietnamese people. The second chapter summarizes the research of Vietnamese scholars on The Book of Songs. The third chapter clarifies the influence of The Book of Songs on Vietnamese culture, especially national culture and the life of Vietnamese people. The folk songs of Vietnamese songs also use the artistic means of expressing thoughts and feelings used in The Book of Songs, such as expression, metaphor and association.According to the similarities between Vietnamese folk songs and The Book of Songs, the Vietnamese scholars advocate the publication of The Vietnamese Book of Songs. The advent of this collection of poems is a sign of the influence of Chinese poetry on Vietnamese folk poetry. The Vietnamese writers and poets have chosen a lot of words and artistic images from The Book of Songs as a literary allusion in classical literature, especially in poetry creation, which enhances the implicitness of their works and achieves the unexpected effects. The fourth chapter illustrates the influence of The Book of Songs on Vietnamese literature, especially Vietnamese modern literature and classical literature, including the influence of art,the influence of ideological content and the influence of Chinese couplet, and also examines the phenomenon that Vietnamese literature simulates and borrows The Book of Songs.Nowadays, with the fast speed of life, the trend of westernization is more obvious. Therefore, the influences of classical works, especially The Book of Songs, have been increasingly weakened in the creation of modern young writers and poets. In Vietnam, the scope of studying and studying Chinese classics is narrowed down to professional universities and research institutes. In recent years,in order to promote the spread of Chinese classics in foreign countries,"the discussion of teaching of Chinese classics in key universities in East Asia" has become one of the important projects at the annual forum of the presidents of four countries of East Asia, which the representatives of Vietnamese scholars also actively participate in.We believe that the descendants of Vietnamese scholars and people of all walks of life will cherish the influence of The Book of Songs on Vietnamese culture, especially language and literature.
