For Tibetan civilization, the Bon culture and Buddhist culture are like the two rounds of the car and the wings of the birds. From the perspective of historical culture and culture,Bon religion is the "root" of Tibetan culture. The Bon literature in the Bailong River basin is a collection of Tibetan literature newly discovered after the Dunhuang Tibetan documents,Bodhisattva and the Potala Palace archives. From the perspective of the development history of Bon,there is a form known as the Continuation of Bon or Srid Pa Bon before the institutionalized g·Yung Drung Bon,but there has been a lack of relevant information. The discovery of the folk Bon literature in the Bailong River basin has made up for this shortcoming and provided new material and new horizons for Tibetan studies at home and abroad. At the same time,it also raised a new question, how to make this part of the complex, esoteric, unrecognizable manuscripts, photocopies and other original materials serve the academic study of the history of Bon,Tibetan folk beliefs or cultural exchanges.Solving this problem is the main academic goal in current time. This question also throughout the full text of the dissertation. The paper argues that the origin of sGra Bla can be traced back to the Tibetan literature in Dunhuang in Tibet and the Bonchita in Tibet.sGra Bla has experienced three processes: animal image, the combination of animal and human, and the high-personalization.From the perspective of history, the folk Bon literature can be categorized as the “history of religious rituals” and “the history of Royal Genealogy”.The text narrative is centered on people, and the “all worshiping ghosts” serves people. The Bon traditions in different periods are in the same line, and the links between the two sides have never broken. The folk Bon literature in the Bailong River basin objectively reflects the historical process of the evolution of the Srid Pa Bon into the g·Yung Drung Bon.The dissertation takes sGra Bla literature as the research object, comprehensively classifies the traditional literature of Bon and modern literature, and conducts a research method combining literature and anthropology on the folk literature of Bailong River basin. The dissertation is divided into three parts. The introduction of the first part is mainly to summarize and introduce the background, research value and status quo of the paper.Firstly, the basic appearance and form of the Bon literature are reviewed. The compilation, research and publication of the folk literature in the Bailong River Basin in recent years are summarized.Secondly, the sGra Bla literature is summarized and classified. The second part of the thesis is the finishing of basic materials, which are divided into three types according to the content of the materials. The second part of the dissertation is the finishing of basic materials.According to the content of the materials, there are three types. One is that the sGra Bla Shugs m Gon literature, includes sGra Bla Ba Shugs and sGra Bla Ra Shugs Lug Shugs,sGra Bla Bya Shugs and so forth. The second is the sGra Bla Literature, consisted by the g Shen Po sGra Bla,sGra Bla Wer Ma,sGra Bla Cang Se and sGra Bla Rma Gnyan. The third is the text about the sGra Bla’s weapons “m Dav”,“d Mu Thag” and the praise text about sGra Bla.The four-step mode is used in the processing of basic materials: “solving problems-recording,collation,translation,text analysis”.The third part of the dissertation is the summary and expansion of the research object. The first is the case study of sGra Bla-related animals and their literature, like bat(Pha Wang),golden head white monkey(s Prel d Kar g Ser m Go),and eagle, discuss the role, symbolism and cultural significance of different animals in religious texts, rituals and customs.Secondly,it summarizes the narrative logic and ritual types of the folk Bon texts, and discusses the relationship between “Srid Pa”,human and ghost in the Bon literature. The ritual type section discusses how to use the“grooming”(s Gyur)and“returning”(Zlog)rituals in the face of disasters in the folk Bon tradition. The study on the extension of the folk Bon literature is a comparative study of the sGra Bla and the Dongba War God.It sorts out the relationship between the gods Duoge,Youma and other gods in the Dongba classics and the Drang r Gan and Wer Ma in the Bon literature.Trying to incorporate folk Bon research into the category of comparison and dialogue with the traditional religions of minorities in Southwest of China. The conclusion is that folk Bon literature is not only a valuable folk cultural heritage of Tibetan culture, but also a traditional Chinese cultural heritage. The research on this batch of documents has profoundly deepened the intrinsic connection between Bon and the religions of various ethnic groups on the eastern margin of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
