Collected Commentaries on Zuo Zhuan is a classic masterpiece on Zuo Zhuan of the Spring and Autumn Annals commented by Takezoe Koko,a Japanese sinologist in the late Qing Dynasty. It represented a peak of the study of traditional Confucian classics in modern Japanese sinology.Collected Commentaries on Zuo Zhuan fully inspects the social development and changes in the Spring and Autumn Annals,as well as the profound changes in the Spring and Autumn Ritual System.Rituals and rites were overstepped and destroyed, thus forming a new ritual relationship in the Spring and Autumn Annals. In addition to the superficiality of the rites and music of all levels, etiquette has become more practical and simple.Ritual words in Spring and Autumn Annals constitute a new category of word meanings. Many Ritual words not only have the original category of five Rituals, but also sometimes have two of them.Collected Commentaries on Zuo Zhuan often refutes Du’s annotation of ritual words in the textual research of the five ritual words in Zuo Zhuan and traces back to the source of the annotation of ritual words.Takezoe Koko was good at summarizing the ritual names of the annotations of Zuo Zhuan of the Spring and Autumn Annals.Although he did not see the unearthed oracle bone inscriptions, bronze inscriptions and bamboo and silk documents for the reasons of the times, most of his research results can stand the test of new materials.Based on the textual research on the ritual words of Collected Commentaries on Zuo Zhuan, this paper supplements and revises the inscriptions of Collected Commentaries on Zuo Zhuan by using the method of double evidence and the unearthed documents.Etiquette includes red tape and names, while the establishment of categories has a basic significance for the systematization and orderliness of ritual research.Takezoe Koko believed Zhou Rites. And the core model of the system construction is the Five Rites, that is Ji,Xiong,Bin,Jun,Jia.The etiquette exercised by King of Zhou and the princes in the period of Spring and Autumn can be almost divided into Five Rites, and the name of the Five Rites is deeply rooted in people’s hearts. This article will make a comprehensive and systematic classification of Ji,Xiong,Bin,Jun,Jia as five aspects in Collected Commentaries on Zuo Zhuan. In order to construct the framework of the study on the categories of five rituals words in Collected Commentaries on Zuo Zhuan. The classification of etiquette adopted in this paper reflects the detailed etiquette of Zuo Zhuan of the Spring and Autumn Annals.According to the "Three Rites" and related works on etiquette, the classification of etiquette is established.Under the categories of Five Rites, this paper classifies the ritual words in Collected Commentaries on Zuo Zhuan in the sense of exegetics.By using the method of word meaning typology, the lexicalized etiquette objects are divided into etiquette, gift and etiquette. The etiquette is hierarchical,so it is classified according to the status level within the etiquette words group. The classification level of the category of etiquette is a question of category, and the parallel level of the category of five etiquette is a question of adjacency. If the etiquette is overstepped or broken, such as the emperor’s rites become the princes’s rites, and on the other hand, such as ritual words belong to two categories of Ji Rite and Jia Rite,or there were some derivations and some disappearances in the paradigm of ritual words group. The relationship between polysemous items of polysemous words is summarized through the new category of word meaning, and the relationship between them is explained.Research on this paper1.Using the concepts and methods of lexical typology and based on the classification of traditional exegetics, the paper studies the lexical groups of ritual words in Collected Commentaries on Zuo Zhuan. This paper tries to establish a whole theoretical category of rites in the Pre-Qin Dynasty in a way different from the ritual dictionary.Under categories system, from Chapter Two to Chapter Six,this paper expounds the textual research on the words group of five rituals in Zuo Zhuan.2.Using the unearthed documents to supplement the deficiency of Takezoe Koko’s Collected Commentaries on Zuo Zhuan in the textual research of the five rituals words in Zuo Zhuan.3.Takezoe Koko used the "Three Rites" as well as Zheng xuan’s and Jia Gongyan’s annotations, and absorbed a lot of ideas of rites books in Qing Dynasty to study the etiquette and words system of Zuo Zhuan.Relevant to the study of the etiquette system of Zuo Zhuan, accurately evaluate Takezoe Koko’s contributions to the research of the etiquette system of Zuo Zhuan.
