Research On The Cognitive Function Of Language

As an important medium for people to deal with the relationship between themselves and the world,language,as an element of thinking itself,is the expression of real life.On the one hand,through language,in the process of cognition,people can not only grasp the real world conceptually,but also transcend the real world,pursue and create the ideal world.On the other hand,language,as an important cognitive medium,greatly improves the universality of human thinking and practice,and is bound to continuously expand the field of subject and object correlation in human cognitive system,expand the scope of the world on which human lives,and realize human development.Moreover,with the development and progress of science and technology,the application of computer language,the construction of digital space,the formation of machine thinking and the generation of artificial intelligence are all inseparable with language.The intervention of language makes human understanding constantly open new chapters,makes the relationship between human and the world diversified and complicated,and also makes the survival and development of human diversified.Therefore,the study of language and cognition is of strong historical,realistic and applicable character.The Marxist solution to this problem can not only promote the communication and dialogue between Marxist philosophy and world philosophy,but also promote the modernization of Marxist philosophy.Based on the function of language in the process of cognition,this paper reveals the function of language in different thinking activities,studies the epistemological significance of language expression,and probes into the development of language and cognition.The first chapter investigates the influence of language on human cognition,that is,to clarify what language is,where it comes from and where it leads human cognition to go.Marx and Engels explored the origin of language from the perspective of historical materialism,and regarded language as a practice mode and social phenomenon fundamentally.Language originates from the process of human practical activities,and practicality is the fundamental attribute of language.As objects is bearing the weight of the world understand the voice of the language from scratch,the process of cognition has the epoch-making significance in humans,it will be human extracted from animal type state of ignorance and significance to be perceived material existence,makes the knowledge from the perceptual limitations,to promote the development of rational knowledge,broaden the scope of human knowledge object,and as a unity of cognition,emotion and meaning,strengthen the awareness of the value of human beings.The second chapter analyzes the use of language in cognitive activities.First of all,language is an important medium for understanding the relationship between thought and existence.The question of reference and meaning is how language,thought and reality are related,and how the cognitive function of language is possible.The root of language exists in real life,its meaning can only be determined in concrete use,and reference can only be realized in the object world through practice,which is the ultimate basis for understanding reference and meaning.Secondly,language,as an element of thinking and a realistic expression,is the knot of human cognition.In different forms of language,human cognition has gone through three different stages: operation of things ? operation of thoughts ?operation of thought symbols.In addition,the process of human cognitive activities and the achievement of ideas exist in a logical case.Language,logic and thinking are trinity.The logic of language is the reflection of the logic of objects or certain kinds of facts in the practice in thinking.In addition,the cognitive function of language should be viewed dialectically and objectively.Language will be internalized into the thinking activities of the subject,potentially creating a "rational cave",which will exert a restrictive effect on cognitive activities,and should be paid attention to.The third chapter examines the linguistic expression of cognitive achievements.The ultimate goal of cognition is to form the achievement of cognition about objects and externalize the "implicit" and "spiritual" things into the form of material existence to be examined and recognized by the society.On the one hand,language,as a form system of thought expression,can make the subject's thinking achievements be created dynamically.It makes subjective knowledge objectified and objective knowledge subjectified and realizes the transformation and fusion between individual knowledge and social knowledge.Make people become cultural existence,construct and spread culture.From the perspective of linguistic expression,linguistic expression is a dialectical unity of subjective and objective,general and individual,fuzzy and precise.on the other hand,language expression is not omnipotent,and there are dilemmas such as "inexpressible",these are rooted in language,thinking and the difference between real world and contradiction,the boundaries of language also is not the end,we met in the human activities in the development of practice and cognition language difficulties will continue to resolve and generation.The fourth chapter explores the influence of the development and application of language on cognition.Language produces new changes and forms new functions and applications in the era of human practical activities.The development of science and technology has promoted the transformation of language forms.With the formation of various technological media and computer science,the birth of machine language has triggered the cognitive revolution.Digital and formalized artificial language constructs the virtual world,changes the traditional way of human existence and development,and creates the digital existence.Language,as the carrier of intelligence,possesses the material power to transform the world under the technological conditions of the information age,and realizes the language practice of the era--artificial intelligence.Formal language and logic endue machines with "thinking" to materialize,simulate and extend human thinking,but also because of the essential differences between artificial language and natural language,determine the fundamental division between artificial intelligence and human intelligence.The development and application of language have a revolutionary significance for human cognition,and also form a paradox of cognition: it makes the way of cognition change from naturalization to technicalization,and the evolution of human cognition also causes technological alienation;Digitization creates virtual thinking and enriches human thinking mode,but fragmented and pictorial thinking makes people's thinking ability suffer.The symbol of knowledge provides convenience for the production of knowledge,but it also causes people's understanding to get lost in the symbol.The main innovations of this paper are as follows: first,it investigates language and cognition from the perspective of Marxist philosophy of "practice,society,history and man",establishes Marx and Engels' view of practical language,and deepens the study of Marxist philosophy.The second is to objectively and dialectically analyze the function of language in cognition,to explore the influence of the historical development of language from nothing to being,from being to being,and from nature to artificial on cognition,as well as the philosophical thinking of language and cognition from theory to application,so as to view the status of language in cognition scientifically and rationally.Thirdly,it makes a philosophical discussion on the development of language era,especially the application in the new era.It analyzes the problems of machine thinking and artificial intelligence from the perspective of language,and reveals the differences between artificial intelligence and human intelligence,which is of great practical significance.
