A Comparative Study Of Predicate-Object Phrases In Modern Chinese And Their Expansion Methods In Thai

Chinese and Thai languages both belong to the Sino Tibetan Language Family.With both languages being isolated there is little difference between the two when we look at grammar and sentence structure.You will find that the Subject,Verb and Object land in the same grammatical order and the Verb and Object follow the same verb phrase structure.In this paper the structure of the verb phrase,for the Chinese and Thai languages,will be divided into two forms according to their adhesiveness and the method of separation.For the special meaning of the verb phrases,we will analyze those and then compare them.Also,in this paper we will analyze and then discuss the association and the semantic grammar relationship between the verb phrase in the Chinese and Thai languages.We observe that these are closely related regarding the main expression of the verb phrase in sentences.The phenomenon of action and behavior is involved when the verb acts as the antecedent of the verb phrase.In summary,a word can express multiple meanings and can appear as multiple types of objects.The verb phrase with the object as the latter item matches with the verb set of the preceding item,and there are many word types:noun,verb,adjective,etc.to illustrate that action and behavior can represent various meanings and can include: things,objects,results,tools,time,place,purpose,agent,method,purpose,cause,complexity,equivalence,etc.From the semantic relationship of verb phrase according to the degree of lexicalization,it is found that the separable words and adhesiveness of the former and the latter are separated and extended,while the former and the latter of the two factors can be used separately,and are the same as the original one above the language.In this paper,several words are used to expand: Le,Zhe,Guo,quantifier,time quantifier,overlap and so on.Through different ways of expansion,the positions of the two languages are displayed,involving the similarities and differences between the two languages.The adhesiveness of predicate object phrases is contrary to that of separable words.The meaning sources of the two factors in the former and the latter are related to history and culture,and cannot be used separately because the meaning will change.Therefore,this paper adopts a variety of main research methods which we will define across seven chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which describes the significance of this research topic.The research status is summarized through the theory of verb phrase,the research methods,problems to be solved,and the possible innovation points of the research subjects.In the second chapter,the general situation of Chinese verb and object words which are separable are introduced.The basic structure of Chinese verb and object separable words are related to the explanation of the basic structure of the separable word AB in verbs with objects,as well as the segregation form AXB / b(x)a,separation mode and grammatical features.The chapter also explains the basis of the verb phrase,the language function of verb phrase,and the commonality of verbs and nouns.The third chapter introduces the general situation of Chinese verb phrase,expounds the basic grammatical structure of Chinese verb phrase(V + O),and explains the scope of verb phrase with object,the semantic relationship of verb phrase,the situation of verb with object and etc.The fourth chapter explains the general and common usage of verb phrases.It expounds that the "freedom" and "adhesion" of verb phrases involves the concept of free phrase and adhesive phrase,the lexicalization of Chinese and the concept and scope of cohesive idioms and group words.The fifth chapter describes the general overall situation of grammatical structure in the Thai language,which involves the basic theory of Thai and the general situation of predicate object phrase in Thai.In the sixth chapter we outline a comparative study on the expansion of verb phrases in Chinese and Thai.It expounds the structure of separable words of predicate object phrases in Chinese and Thai languages,carries on the expansion and comparative analysis,and shows the similarities and differences between Chinese and Thai.Finally,the seventh chapter is the conclusion which summarizes the whole research paper: the particularity of verb phrases in Chinese and Thai and the results of the comparative study.
