Introduction And Interpretation Of Stepanov's Semiotics

Stepanov's semiotic thoughts involve a wide range of fields spanning the two research orientations of general semiotics and departmental semiotics.Under deep exploration,this ideological treasure,with its rich research value can provide new experience and perspective for the theoretical and applied research of Semiotics in China.Stepanov's semiotic thoughts mainly consist of four parts: general semiotics,conceptual semiotics,linguistic semiotics and literary semiotics.The focus of this dissertation is on general semiotics and conceptual semiotics.The research consists of theory introduction,interpretation and critical thinking.It combines introduction,comment and critical thinking.While introducing his thoughts,this dissertation not only systematically combs and reflects the characteristics of his thoughts,but also tries to find out the possibility of its development.In the introduction and interpretation of theory.Stepanov's General semiotics reveals the embodiment of abstract language relations in other semiotic systems by analogy with language semiotic systems and other semiotic systems,then forms general semiotic laws accordingly.The study adopts the term system of structuralist semiotics,shows the pansymbolic characteristics of Pierce's semiotics system and introduces the important image of human as the cognitive subject.Conceptual semiotics is a school of cultural semiotics initiated by Stepanov.Its innovations include the application of diachronic methods,the unification of matter and spirit,the introduction of semiotic methods and the concept of "evolutionary semiotic sequence of ideas".The cultural information carried by concepts will evolve and accumulate with the changes of the times.The term signifier-signified is of great benefit to clarify the inheritance and evolution of cultural information.In critical thinking.It is found that Stepanov's semiotics has clear features of anthropocentrism and language-centrism;on the cultural factors brought into semiotics to carry out systematic and effective research,his thoughts shows a strong pioneering spirit with epochal significance.Of course,Stepanov's semiotics is not perfect,and there is still room for its further development.
