German classical philosophy is one of the direct theoretical sources of Marxism.Its history is not a list recording human errors,but a tense process that philosophers pursuit the truth.Hegel epitomized German classical philosophy.For the first time,Hegel was aware of human beings' concrete freedom in the rational criticism of modernity and the actualization of human beings' perfectibility via ethical education in the process of free mind returning from its externalization to itself.Elements of Philosophy of Right is Hegel's most important and controversial work.The work not only argues the modern proposal of natural law and political science,but also reveals the mature and dialectical thought of ethical education.Hegel conceived a grand thought that ethical education makes men the actual free being in Elements of Philosophy of Right.It does with concepts of consciousness,will and freedom;goes through Hegel's dialectics of thesis,antithesis and synthesis;involves contents and methods of family ethical education,civil society ethical education and state ethical education.In some certain sense,Hegel's thought of ethical education in Elements of Philosophy of Right can be regarded as the first genius exploration of modern ideological and political education in the western states.Therefore,it is necessary to study Hegel's thought of ethical education in Elements of Philosophy of Right based on ideological and political education and promote the innovative development of basic principles of ideological and political education based on the reappearance and the rethinking of Hegel's plan of ethical education.The thesis is divided into 6 chapters.Chapter 1 "Introduction".It briefly introduces the backgrounds,the significances,the status quo at home and abroad,the clues,the methods,the innovative and the defective.Although there exist abundant and profound works in translation,interpretation,evaluation of Elements of Philosophy of Right both at home and abroad,the works of the thought of ethical education which is hidden in the book are rare,the works of that in the horizon of ideological and political education are empty.Chapter 2 "Hegel's related concepts of ethical education in Elements of Philosophy of Right".Hegel understands the concept of ethical education from the starting point of concepts of consciousness,will and freedom.Consciousness is the appearance of the spirit.Will is the practicing spirit.All the concept of freedom is the actualization of will.Freedom means not only its conceptual movement,but also its shapes of experience or concrete character.Ethical education is the art that makes men the ethical free being and the struggle for human liberation from individual,instinctive nature to substantial,spiritual nature.Chapter 3 "Hegel's dialectical logic of the education in Elements of Philosophy of Right".Education of abstract right,moral education and ethical education correspond to "thesis","antithesis" and "synthesis" moments respectively,and further these three moments of education also go through Hegel's dialectical logic.Education of abstract right makes men become the being existing as personality right via education of property,contract and prohibition of wrong.Moral education gives subject will universal subjectivity,makes men become the moral subjects via defining his purposes,reflecting his intention and insisting his own conscience.Ethical education forms the ethical spirit as the concrete shape of free will,makes men become the true ethical individuals as the members of ethical substance via family ethical education,civil society ethical education and state ethical education.Chapter 4 "Hegel's whole contents of ethical education in Elements of Philosophy of Right".Family ethical education,civil society ethical education and state ethical education as different moments of ethical education have different contents.The immediate phase of contents of family ethical education is family ethical bond of love,the embodied one is family common capital,the transcended one is the ethical dissolution of family.The contents of civil society ethical education involve survivals,the rules and the ideas,and are completed in the reasonable measure of subject needs and their satisfaction,the Constitution and laws and their application and the class ethical disposition.The immediate phase of contents of state ethical education is the constitution of the state of the unity of the Legislature,the Executive and the Crown,the mediate one is the patriotism political sentiment,the highest one is the world history as the exhibition of free mind.Chapter 5 "Hegel's general methods of ethical education in Elements of Philosophy of Right".It is the implicitly and actually reasonable ethical education that needs not only formally reasonable principles but also explicitly reasonable methods.Family ethical education reverses children's caprice through correction,forms children's ethical feeling of love through edifying,but opposes the play method guided by childishness.Civil society ethical educational methods involve labor which improves the sociality,the participation of administration of justice which develops the formally universality and the unity of explicit method in schools and implicit method in corporation which realizes the specific particularity.State ethical education cultivates ethical individuals as good citizens in the state through the speculative reason,the mutual recognition between the state and citizens and the guidance of public opinion based on the parliament debates.Chapter 6 "Evaluation and enlightenment of Hegel's thought of ethical education in Elements of Philosophy of Right".Firstly,Marx suggests the criticism and the surpass to logic,contents and methods of Hegel's ethical education in Critique of Hegel's Philosophy of Right.Secondly,Hegel's thought of ethical education transcends one-sidedness and limitations of abstract education and moral education,aims at transcendence of instinctive nature and lifting of spiritual nature,realizes the reconciliation between individuals and communities,but the thought also exists many defects,such as idealism,metaphysics and conservatism.Finally,ideological and political education gets many enlightenments from Hegel's thought of ethical education,such as its character should be the unity of knowledge education and spirit education,its goal should be the unity of value cultivation of morality and politics,its mode should be insisting the unity of classroom and "big classroom".To sum up,the thesis firstly explores the resources of ethical education hidden in Hegel's Elements of Philosophy of Right,including the key concepts,the dialectical logic,the whole contents and the general methods,then realizes its criticism and surpass,its absorption and the accumulation based on Marx's philosophy and dialectics,finally returns to ideological and political education and promotes the ethical reification of ideological and political education.
