Research On Terra-cotta Warriors From The Eastern Zhou Dynasty To The Wei,jin And Southern And Northern Dynasties

From the eastern Zhou dynasty to the Wei,Jin and Southern and Northern dynasties,there are a large number of terracotta warriors,which can be divided into four categories: infantry,chariot,cavalry and tomb guarding terracotta warriors.In each period,each type of arms can be divided into several types according to their different positions in the military array,different shapes,different costumes and different weapons.Based on the analysis of the articles in the typology,first discusses the Zhou dynasty to the Wei Jin Southern and Northern dynasties period combination characteristics and age characteristics of different kinds of uniform figures,the author of the present research believes that the army uniform figurines from the eastern Zhou period infantry combination of the chariots into warlords of the chariots,infantry and cavalry combination and combination in the evolution of the western Han dynasty for the cavalry,infantry,cavalry and having been isolated from the main army,has become an independent combat units,and to further differentiate into two use different tactics of cavalry,the infantry to southern dynasties is further divided into two categories,cavalry earlier which has got further development at the same time;The differences in the development of the terracotta warriors are mainly reflected in the roles,tactics and arrangement of the terracotta warriors in the Eastern Zhou dynasty,the Wei dynasty,the Jin dynasty and the Northern and Southern dynasties.Secondly,starting from the burial phenomenon of the terracotta army,the causes of burial of the terracotta army are discussed in depth.What's more,since the Warring States Period,tombs of armed soldiers late sympathetic person when image structures figurines of the origin of the system,uniform figurines from early as a substitute for man perishes gradually evolved to become one of the important composition of burial system,on the one hand it reflects the Chinese "death things such as life" concept of lightssince ancient times,and uniform figurines of structures were also born after the death of the symbol of powerand they were on guard even when they were died.In additon,this process is also an important witness of social change.Its deep burial with the main reasons are as follows: 1)the change of production relations led to the decline of the system of martyrdom;2)influenced by religion and ideology;3)a companion burial has certain functions and needs.It not only reflected the military configuration and combat technology at that time,but also met the psychological needs of the people at that time.Finally,the military formation and war forms of the eastern Zhou dynasty to the Wei dynasty,the Jin dynasty,the Southern and Northern dynasties are discussed from the existing archeological terra-cotta warriors and historical documents.It is believed that the eastern Zhou dynasty inherited the war mode of vehicle warfare since the Shang dynasty,in which the main force of the army was vehicle soldiers.The Qin dynasty was a period of common development of chariots,infantry and cavalry.In the Western Han Dynasty,cavalry was developed in an all-round way and gradually replaced chariot soldiers.Chariot soldiers gradually retired from the historical stage,and the combination of infantry and cavalry has become the mainstream fighting mode.After a short period of stagnation during the Eastern Han and Jin dynasties,the development of the army ushered in a great change in the Northern dynasty.The infantry completely evolved into armored infantry and light infantry,while the armored cavalry became the mainstream and the light cavalry slowly disappeared.In this process of evolution,the cultural integration of the ethnic minorities and the Han has played a very significant role in promoting its development.
