Marxist Analysis On Wikipedia And Its Enlightenment To The Construction Of Internet Civilization In China

As a new global social and cultural system,cyberspace has become the necessity of our people's daily life and the power source to change their way of life.From the countryside to the city,from the elderly to children,everyone keeps in touch with the society in cyberspace.But at the same time,with the continuous updating and iteration of Internet services,cyberspace has become a breeding ground for all kinds of social chaos.In the face of the spread of vulgar network culture,the spread of network rumors,the abuse of personal information and other issues,strengthening the construction of Internet civilization and building a socialist Internet civilization with Chinese characteristics has become an important link in the process of China's modernization.In this regard,General Secretary Xi Jinping clearly stressed that "we should strengthen the construction of Internet ethics and Internet civilization".At present,the construction of Internet civilization led by the government in China mainly meets two challenges: first,in the face of the rapid development of Internet technology,there are problems in the efficiency and effect of the existing way;second,in the face of the resistance of the people in our country,the rationality of the existing way is questioned.In this case,how to improve the way of Internet civilization construction in China and how to explain the rationality of Internet civilization construction in China has become a theoretical task that can not be avoided in the study of Sinicization of Marxism based on China's socialist practice.Therefore,based on Marxist methodology,this paper focuses on those foreign cyberspace that mainly rely on their own strength to achieve organization and development,and makes an investigation and analysis of them,so as to take care of the construction of Internet civilization in China.After considering the difficulty of overall research,this paper chooses Wikipedia as a case study and tries to solve the three main problems raised by Wikipedia.The first is how to understand the social structure of Wikipedia.According to Marxist community theory,the future form of the community and the pre-modern form have potential unity,and they are in diametrically opposite relationship with the modern form of the community,namely the currency-capital community.Therefore,intuitively speaking,the social relationship structure of the community has the characteristics of concretization and internalization.At the same time,with the help of relevant research results of testimony epistemology,the analysis of encyclopedia should focus on the embedded trust relationship.Through the new editing mode,Wikipedia has changed the abstract trust relationship,taking collective discussion as the basis of the new trust relationship.It is in this sense that the social relationship structure of Wikipedia shows the attribute of community.The second is how to understand the power relationship of Wikipedia.Marxist social power theory reveals the capital essence of power relationship.By examining the power relationship between ‘Wikipedian' and novice editors in Wikipedia,we can also find the role of social capital hidden behind it.By setting up a variety of special identity symbols,Wikipedia dominates the skill development process of users in Wikipedia,and provides an important incentive mechanism for the development and maintenance of power relations.Finally,how to understand the essential limitations of Wikipedia.From the perspective of existentialism,the establishment of trust relationship means the acquisition of "ontological security".In the Marxist theoretical system,the real foundation of trust relationship should be human perceptual activities.However,Wikipedia still symbolizes the ideal of "Encyclopedia school",continues the rationalist tradition of the West since the enlightenment,and sets the rational ability as the path to "ontological security",thus showing the essential limitations.Through the answers to these three questions,the essence of Wikipedia can be summarized as: the display of public power in cyberspace,the application of social capital in cyberspace,and the continuation of rationalist tradition in cyberspace.This provides important enlightenment for the construction of Internet civilization in China:first,we should give full play to the positive role of the public in the construction of Internet civilization;second,we should earnestly adhere to the leading position of the government in the construction of Internet civilization;third,we should firmly grasp the socialist direction of the construction of Internet civilization.
