Land port is the main way for the communication activities among various nationalities and ethnic groups between different countries and regions. It is not only an important field for maintaining the stability of national borders, but also the main “node” for the implementation of national policies. It has the function of multicultural expression. As an important gateway to the southern border of the motherland,Southwest China's border land port has witnessed the significant transformation of the border along the line from "frontier" to "border".It has also become an important place for the exchange of capital, labor services and commodities. It naturally breeds an unique culture, which are representative in the system, symbols, activities, and spirit levels. The paper focuses on the Sino Vietnamese border between Yunnan and Guangxi, which are places for close cross-border ethnic exchanges and exchanges,as well as places for rectification and stay during the interaction of border people.Border people with different cultural backgrounds, different livelihood habits and different ethnic identities come here, forming the tension between social and cultural identity, port home identity and national identity. How to correctly understand and handle the multi-level identity relationship between China and Vietnam ports and shape a harmonious, stable and progressive civilization is an important issue in order to realize the stable development of Sino-Vietnam border areas in the process of globalization. In this regard, there have been many academic discussions on the identity-selection between people, showing the features of border construction, population mobility and identity crisscross.Starting from ethnology and cultural anthropology, this paper takes the port cultural relics as the direct research object, places the port cultural relics in the border people's daily social life, festival activities, livelihood behavior and artistic aesthetics, examines its connotation value, and focuses on how the port relics affect social development and cultural identity. The article is carried out according to the four cultural levels, namely political system, material, society, and spirit.Specifically,at the political system level, the research holds that the port is the product of the national organizational system, and the port remains must have strong institutional characteristics; On the material level, the research focuses on the landscape construction of cultural relics, and points out that the border landscape is not only the display of cultural and ecological diversity, but also the geographical coordinates of social and political discourse. Therefore, the process of landscape construction is the process of mutual isomorphism between local culture and national culture; At the society level, the research holds that cultural relics play a positive role in establishing the subjective identity of the border people.Developing on this basis can greatly activate the emotional identity of the border people, and then give birth to a high sense of trust in the national border governance model in the new era;At the spiritual level, the research focuses on the overall relationship between port cultural relics and port urban construction, which is mainly reflected in that cultural relics can directly or indirectly enhance the sense of border life,cross-border cultural tolerance and the sense of responsibility for guarding and protecting the border, which will have a far-reaching impact on the overall style of the city, social vitality and civilization cultivation. It is revealed that the cultural relics contain a series of cultural implications such as "guarding the home","protecting the border" and "defending the country".They are a unity of mutual conditions and mutual promotion.Examining their connotation and value can better understand the characteristics of "continuity in change, order in succession" of border culture.Further,it is also of great benefit to deeply understand many contradictions in the frontier, formulate targeted governance strategies, improve border cultural security, and boost the construction of cultural frontier.
