Research On The Theory Of Multi-round Competitions&Participation Strategy

This thesis is to study and analyze the practical multi-rounds of races through variety of methods and study the theory of multi-round competitions from several aspects. Furthermore, it can give some participating strategies for the athletes who will take part in the multi-round competitions based on its inherent patterns of multi-round competitions.1The Theory of Multi-round competitions refers to those in which the champion and the ranking of the winners are determined through two or more rounds of competitions.2Multi-round Competitions are characterized by stereo-structure, goal-congruence, level-unity and round-progress.3The Theory of Multi-round Competitions comes out as a result of sports development into a certain stage. It is significant and plays an important role in following respects:3.1meeting the demand of fair competition;3.2solving problems with multi athlelc participation in the games;3.3providing more competitions to meet, the demand of spectators;3.4promoting the devclopment of professional sports.A Multi-round competitions can be divided into four kinds:competitive optimal games, competitive games in the same class, confrontation optimal games and confrontation games in the same class. The basic groups of multi round competitions are characterized by the following: 4.1Competitive optimal games:low interference, amount-degression, progressive intensity increment and different stages.4.2Confrontation optimal games:tense confrontation; high efficiency and low rationality and middle degression.4.3Confrontation games in the same class:fixed opponents and equal opportunities.4.4Confrontation games in the same class:win-lose accumulation with different features.5Contest strategies refer to the solution and guidelines by which competitors enter their competitions on the basis of scientific analysis and judgment about the situation and the process of the games. When making strategies, one must be in full consideration about the regulations of the games, competitive power of the contestants, and the environment of the competitions.6There are common strategies of multi-round competitions: win-by-service strategy, advantageous positioning, suitable configuration of competition resources and round regulation for the performance of the players.7Group strategies in multi-round competitions include:7.1The strategy of competitive optimal games refers to that of clear purpose, progressive increment, self-concentration, attention to the process and avoiding interference.7.2The strategy for confrontation multi round games refers to careful planning before action; winning first before fighting; activeness in the game, enhances strong points and avoid weaknesses, and conquer the weakness of the opponents with one's own strength. 7.3The strategy for multi-round games within the same class is that one should get fully prepared to face score counting with a light-hearted mental attitude, and play one's role in a stable way.7.4The strategy of multi-round confrontation games within the same class is careful preparation, serious scheme, making efforts to win first, taking action according to the trend in advantages and trying to convert the situation in disadvantages.
