The modern society is constantly breaking away from the framework of the traditional society and gradually showing completely different characteristics from the traditional society.Modernity means the nature or characteristic of the modern society,aiming to highlight the differences between the modern society and the traditional society.Chivalrous spirit of Wushu shows the unique spiritual temperament and social moral pursuit of martial arts practitioners in real life.It is an indispensable cultural resource to understand martial arts spirit.Based on this,with the characteristics of different social backgrounds as clues,chivalrous spirit of Wushu as research object,modernity as research context,under the guidance of methodology such as the unity of history and logic,the promise;(2)the justice connotation of hating evil and doing good;(3)the courage connotation of advancing bravely and forging ahead with determination;(4)the sentiment connotation of valuing justice,neglecting kindness and valuing retribution;(5)loyalty to the country and the people.The inferior connotation of chivalrous spirit of Wushu includes:(1)bloodthirsty connotation of breaking the Modernity" divides the changes brought about by modernity into dimensions,and explores the internal logic of the relationship between modernity and chivalrous spirit of Wushu.At present,the changes of material dimension,system dimension and spirit dimension brought by modernity have a substantial relationship with chivalrous spirit of Wushu in a synchronic way.The third part "the realistic situation of chivalrous spirit of Wushu in the context of modernity" analyzes the realistic representation and generating mechanism of chivalrous spirit of Wushu in the context of modernity
