Teaching is the primary and direct approach to realizing the goal of school physical education.This paper is based on gymnastics teaching in which is the comprehensive application of literature research method,historical research method,logical analysis method,investigation method,case analysis method and so on especially by way of historical research method.From the perspective of value orientation,it also dwells upon the development and evolution characteristics of gymnastics teaching in modern schools in China.In addition,thoughts on the reform of gymnastics teaching in schools have been put forward in order to promote the healthy and sustainable development of school gymnastics teaching in China.The study on the current problems by the historical research method is regarded as the fundamental thought,namely,taking the existing problems as the starting point and destination.To begin with,it has been a very clear thought in the development of modern school gymnastics teaching in China,by which it sums up its evolution characteristics to obtain useful enlightenment;Additionally,respecting analysis of the present school gymnastics teaching in China,we should find problems and solve them to provide available materials for teaching reform.What's more,Measures should be taken to explore new gymnastics teaching methods by drawing lessons from history.Based on the above research ideas,the main conclusions are as follows:(1)By comparison,gymnastics plays an extreme important in developing the skills and habits of students' exercises.Owing to a unique sports structure and functional attributes in gymnastics,there is no comparison in terms of teaching.Gymnastics,as a branch of sports teaching,has a deep impact on the value orientation in teaching,which value orientation acts as orientation,guidance and standardization.The formation of the value orientation in gymnastics teaching is closely related to the needs of the value subject,the function of the value object as well as the subject consciousness of the value.As the side-concept of value orientation of curriculum,and school education,the value orientation of gymnastics teaching is consistent with the value orientation of its superior level.(2)From the perspective of Value Orientation,school gymnastics teaching in the past 100 years is characterized by the compulsion of Value Orientation on school gymnastics teaching;The “W” development of status under the influence of value orientation;correspondence of function value and value orientation in gymnastics teaching;one-sidedness of the gymnastics teaching;the realization of established value in gymnastics teaching;the guarantee of realizing the value of gymnastics teaching.(3)We gain some experience from the evolution of value-oriented gymnastics teaching: Based on the essence and the pursuit of effectiveness,Scientific and reasonable teaching content;Quality improvement of teaching staff;veritable teaching status,and improvement of material environment.(4)It is the value orientation of school physical education curriculum and gymnastics teaching to improve discipline core literacy.The unique function of gymnastics teaching enables it to the cultivation of the core literacy of the students' sports and special contribution is made to the development of students' sports ability,healthy behavior and sports moral character.However,it is particularly worrying to be in a present situation,which is extremely disadvantageous to the cultivation of the core quality of physical education and students.Not having been comprehensive,scientific and systematical in gymnastics teaching,gymnastics teaching is limited owing to the lack of security,site equipment and teachers.(5)The reforms in gymnastics teaching get lots of typically useful experience from the gymnastics teaching at home and abroad,namely,in China,the value orientation of gymnastics teaching is People-centered Education and Physical Education-cored Teaching;Attention was paid to the effective implementation of gymnastics teaching;and the students' parents all take active part in the lectures on gymnastics teaching.However,at abroad,gymnastics is one of the important subjects in physical education teaching which gymnastics teaching is carried out based on value orientation of life-long physical education and healthy way of life as well as socialization under the general goal of training people who can adapt themselves to the social development.The gymnastics on apparatus is regarded as main class in gymnastics teaching,inclusive of mat exercises,high bar,parallel bars,vault,and balance beam.(6)Suggestions of school gymnastics teaching reform in China: Based on the Core literacy of physical education-oriented,we should attach great importance to the establishment of the value orientation of school gymnastics teaching,the building of sports skills as well as gymnastics teaching systems in the light of the core literacy of physical education,the construction of gymnastics teaching staff by the pre-job and in-job training,the requirements of equipment facilities,and the innovations of the core literacy of physical education as well as the development patterns in gymnastics teaching with local characteristics,such as class teaching together with gym class break,gym clubs,gym school training,and so on.
