Family is an important place for people to be born, grow and develop, and its importance to individual's physical and mental health is without doubt.Based on the macro-and micro-theoretical framework of the relationship between environment and individual development in developmental psychology, this study explores the influence of various dimensions of family factors on the mental health of college students from an ecosystem perspective. In this study,a sample survey was conducted of 785 college students from 16 colleges and universities across the country, with emphasis on collecting information on family factors. This paper analyzes the influence of the far environment(Family Structure,Family Socio-economic Status)and the near environment(Family System Differentiation,Family Environment)on the mental health of college students, and discusses the path of the influence of the far&near environment on mental health. At the same time, the study focuses on the mediating role of family environment and family system differentiation on the mental health of college students. Finally, through the case analysis, this study deeply analyzes the family factors that affect the mental health of college students, and provides ideas and suggestions for the direction and strategy of consultation.Through empirical analysis and case study, the individual differences of college students' mental health level are discussed from the perspective of family factors in order to provide suggestions and countermeasures for college mental health education. In particular, this paper discusses the impact of family factors on the mental health of college students through the following three studies.Study 1: Pay attention to the environmental system of college students' growth, analyze the influence of the far environment(Family Structure,Family Socio-economic Status and the near environment(Family System Differentiation,Family Environment)on the mental health of college students, and draw the following conclusions:Different family structure has differences in students' psychological symptoms and psychosocial development, but not in attachment. There are minor differences in the mental health status of college students with different family structure. However, score of psychological and social development of one-parent family is significantly lower than that of two-parent family students. There are significant differences in the sense of competence and emotional expression between single-parent families and two-parent families of college students. There is no significant difference in the mental health of college students with different social and economic status. The influence of family system differentiation on mental health, the mother-child subsystems has significant influence on psychological symptoms, psychosocial development and attachment, which indicates that the mother-child subsystem plays an important role in the study of college students' mental health. The influence of the differentiation of family system on the psychological symptoms, the mother-child subsystems has significant in disability disorder, physical response, interpersonal problems and total score.Among the effects of family system differentiation on psychosocial development, all four subsystems can be significantly predicted. As for the effects of family system differentiation on attachment, only mother-child subsystems can significantly predict the four dimensions of attachment. There is no significant correlation between the level of differentiation of different subsystems and gender, age, and major in family system differentiation.Marriage subsystems are significantly related to family structure;Mother-child subsystem is significantly related to family socio-economic status. In different family structures,two-parent families are superior to single-parent families in marriage subsystem,father-son subsystem and parent-child subsystem; In different family socioeconomic status, family system differentiation is not significant.Among the effects of family environment on mental health,cohesion,conflict,intellectual-cultural orientation,active-recreational orientation, animation, control, and total score of family environment can predict psychological symptoms;Cohesion,conflict,independence,active-recreational orientation, animation, control and total score of family environment can predict psychosocial development;Expression, conflict, achievement orientation,active-recreational orientation, animation, control and total score of family environment can predict attachment. It shows that family environment has influence on children's personality, study and mental health.Study 2: Based on the interaction of the family environment on the mental health of college students,This paper mainly focuses on the intermediary effect of family environment and family system differentiation on mental health level. The study also found that family system differentiation has a regulatory effect on mental health level. The specific conclusions are as follows:The family environment mediates the relationship between family structure and college students' mental health;Family system differentiation mediates the relationship between family social-economic status and college students' mental health;Family environment mediates the relationship between family structure and college students' mental health, and family system differentiation regulates the relationship between family environment and college students' mental health. The father-son subsystem regulates the relationship between the family environment and attachment. The mother-son subsystem, the father-son subsystem, and the marriage subsystem regulate the relationship between the family environment and the psychosocial development. To sum up,family environment has an impact on children's personality, academic performance and mental health.Study 3: Select five typical cases for case study, study the situation overview, analysis of causes, the path to solve the crux of the family factors affecting the mental health of college students, and provide ideas and suggestions on the treatment direction and countermeasures.By summarizing the above three studies, here are the findings: firstly, the family structure is an important far environment;Secondly, the family environment is an important near environment.Through the discussion of “family structure-family environment-college students' mental health”,it is found that the family environment mediates the relationship between family structure and college students' mental health.Thirdly, the family economic status affects the psychological health of college students by influencing the differentiation of family system.Through the path of “family socio-economic status-family system differentiation-college students' mental health”,it is found that:(1)The mother-child subsystem mediates the relationship between family socio-economic status and attachment;(2)The mother-child subsystem mediates the relationship between the socio-economic status of the family and psychosocial development.Fourthly, good family system differentiation can reduce the negative factors that affect the mental health of college students. Finally, both the near and far environment of the family have an effect on mental health. The far environment is the basic protection system, while the near environment is the immune defense system. The influence of family factors on the mental health of college students suggests that the working mode of mental health education in the future should use a systematic and ecological perspective to better return to the educational standard and jointly create a nurturing atmosphere. It not only pays attention to special groups, but also benefits more students.
