| The Yangtze River economic belt plays an important role in China's economic development.According to 2018 data,44.76% of China's GDP has been created in the region,laying a foundation for China's rapid development in the past decades in terms of economic output.However,with the gradual weakening of late development advantage and demographic dividend effect,the sustained and high-speed growth of China's economy is facing a bottleneck.We should not only maintain the sustained growth of the total economic volume,but also take into account the improvement of economic efficiency.In the current China,it is to realize the transformation of economy to high-quality development.As an important way to promote regional economic development,industrial agglomeration,including diversification and specialization,can improve the level of regional economic development by improving the ability of factor agglomeration and reducing transaction costs.Based on the research idea of "finding problems-theoretical analysis-time and space evolution analysis-Empirical Analysis-policy recommendations",this paper first combs out the measurement methods,formation factors and relevant literature of the impact of industrial agglomeration on economic growth,and systematically summarizes the main research directions and gaps at present;secondly,it constructs the theoretical level of industrial agglomeration affecting economic output and economic efficiency The mechanism and path of the rate as well as the overall framework of the influencing factors of industrial agglomeration are analyzed.Then,the hot spot analysis and standard deviation ellipse analysis are used to analyze the spatial-temporal pattern and evolution trend of the economic development and industrial agglomeration index of the Yangtze River economic belt from two dimensions of economic output and economic efficiency.Then through the empirical analysis of spatial econometric model,this paper systematically explores the impact of different forms of industrial agglomeration on regional economic output and economic efficiency,how the path is,and how the economic effect of industrial agglomeration varies in different urban scale,different stages and different urban agglomerations.Then,the paper analyzes the important influencing factors of the formation of industrial agglomeration by using the fixed effect model.Finally,the main conclusions of the comprehensive theoretical analysis,time-space evolutionanalysis and empirical analysis are put forward to make scientific and reasonable industrial policies to achieve high-quality economic development.Theory is the abstract and deep reflection of practical problems.Firstly,this paper expounds the theoretical framework of industrial agglomeration affecting economic output,including producing factor agglomeration effect and reducing main transaction cost.Secondly,it summarizes the theoretical framework of industrial agglomeration affecting technical efficiency,including sharing mechanism,matching mechanism and knowledge spillover,and advances from two forms of industrial agglomeration Finally,from the particularity of the formation of industrial agglomeration in China,the paper analyzes the structural factors of industrial agglomeration,including various macroeconomic and financial factors and the behavior of government officials.Industrial agglomeration includes diversified agglomeration,specialized agglomeration and total factor productivity measurement,which is the basis of this paper.The index of industrial agglomeration is constructed by the method of location entropy and total factor productivity is measured by Solow residual method.On this basis,the index of GDP,total factor productivity,industrial structure,diversified agglomeration and specialized agglomeration in the Yangtze River economic belt is improved Based on the analysis of spatial and temporal evolution,this paper makes a practical investigation on some key indicators in the empirical study,and finds that there are significant differences in the spatial evolution trend of urban economic output and economic efficiency in the Yangtze River economic belt from 2003 to 2016.The main body of spatial distribution of GDP value will evolve inland,while the main body of spatial distribution of TFP value will tend to the coastal area of the Yangtze River Delta.And the specialized agglomeration index continues to grow,while the diversified agglomeration index shows a downward trend.There is a close relationship between industrial specialization agglomeration and diversification agglomeration and regional economic output.Taking 108 cities in the Yangtze River economic belt as samples,using spatial autoregressive model,spatial Dubin model and spatial error model,we find that industrial specialization agglomeration and economic output are significantly negatively correlated,while industrial diversification agglomeration and economic output are significantly positively correlated.Further,by examining the synergy effect of industrial structure in the process of industrial agglomeration affecting economic output,it is found that there are dynamic changes in the impact of industrial specialization agglomerationand diversification agglomeration on economic output in the process of industrial structure change.On this basis,it is found that there are similarities and differences in the effects of industrial specialization agglomeration and diversification agglomeration on economic output.As an important indicator to measure the quality of regional economic development,the relationship between TFP and industrial agglomeration is worth studying.Based on the urban panel data of the Yangtze River economic belt,the spatial Dubin model is used to analyze and find that before a certain critical value of industrial agglomeration,industrial agglomeration can continuously promote the improvement of total factor productivity,while excessive agglomeration will produce congestion effect,and the congestion effect of diversified agglomeration is stronger,and specialized agglomeration is more stable for the externality of TFP.Further research finds that increasing education expenditure is helpful to further release the knowledge spillover effect of industrial agglomeration;large-scale enterprise cluster is helpful to play the scale economic effect of industrial agglomeration;industrial structure upgrading can significantly improve the limited play of the externality of industrial agglomeration.The diversity and complexity of the impact of industrial agglomeration on economic output and technical efficiency,as well as the special institutional arrangement of industrial agglomeration,need to further explore the influencing factors of industrial agglomeration.Based on the overall and group test of the influencing factors of two types of industrial agglomeration in 108 cities in the Yangtze River economic belt from 2003 to 2016,it is found that the influence of local officials on industrial diversification and industrial specialization has nonlinear characteristics,and the macroeconomic variables have a heterogeneous impact on the two types of industrial agglomeration. |
