Research On The Effect Of Specialization And Diversity On Technology Innovation Of Enterprise

At present,innovation has risen to the national strategic level,and improving the level of technological innovation of enterprises is the only way to improve the international competitiveness of our country.According to porter's competition theory,enterprises through geographical agglomeration will affect innovation,and industrial agglomeration is an important way to achieve innovation,so this paper focuses on the topic of industrial agglomeration and technological innovation.Due to the regional characteristics of China,the industrial agglomeration of different regions are different,and the degree of specialization and diversification also varies greatly.Whether the specialized agglomeration or diversification agglomeration is more conducive to technological innovation,foreign and domestic scholars have done a lot of relevant empirical research,but the conclusions are not consistent.For our country,in an area whether to choose to achieve a single dominant industry monopoly or a variety of industrial competition to maximize enterprise innovation ability,this problem is worth studying and discussing.This paper focuses on the different influence of specialization and diversification on technological innovation.First of all,the specialization index and diversity index are calculated from the data between 2010 and 2014 of the provinces and municipalities in China,and the characteristics of industrial agglomeration,specialization agglomeration and diversification agglomeration are analyzed.Secondly,the logarithmic form of knowledge production function model is established.Using the data of manufacturing listed companies in 2010-2014,this paper use panel regression model to analyzes the influence of the specialization and diversification on the technological innovation of enterprises from the perspective of global view,enterprise heterogeneity,region heterogeneity and industry heterogeneity.Finally,from empirical results,analyze the different effects of specialization and diversification on the technological innovation of enterprises.Through the analysis,it is found that:(1)from the whole manufacturing industry,specialized agglomeration has positive effect on technological innovation of enterprises,and the effect of diversification is not significant on technological innovation of manufacturing enterprises.(2)based on the perspective of enterprise heterogeneity,from the enterprise scale,the influence of industrial agglomeration on technological innovation is affected by enterprise scale,and specialized agglomeration is conducive to the innovation and development of large enterprises,and the diversification is more conducive to the innovation development of small and medium-sized enterprises;From the perspective of enterprise property rights,technological innovation of state-owned enterprises benefit more from the diversification,and the technological innovation of non-state-owned enterprises benefit more from the specialized agglomeration.(3)based on the perspective of regional heterogeneity,the technological innovation of enterprises in east and west can benefit more from the specialized agglomeration,and the technological innovation of enterprises in the central region can benefit more from the diversification agglomeration.(4)based on the perspective of industry heterogeneity,the research finds that the enterprise technology innovation in high-tech industry benefits from specialized agglomeration,and the enterprise technology innovation in low technology industry benefits from diversification agglomeration,diversification and specialization agglomeration have positive impact on enterprise technological innovation,but not significant.
