Due to the serious situation of engineering project quality,continuous improvement of engineering quality performance has become a key to achieve the healthy and sustainable development of the construction industry.With the rapid development of big data and Internet technology,knowledge management provides a new insight for the improvement of engineering quality performance.Knowledge management capabilities of project teams define the degree of understanding,effective sharing and application of engineering knowledge within the organization,while the lack of knowledge management capabilities of project teams has become a significant cause of engineering quality problems.However,previous studies have not paid attention to the impact of systematic knowledge management capabilities on engineering quality performance improvement.Therefore,exploring the influence mechanism of knowledge management capabilities on engineering quality performance is of vital importance for improving the quality performance of engineering projects,as well as cultivating the knowledge management capabilities of project teams.From the perspective of knowledge management capabilities,this paper explores the influence mechanism on engineering quality performance improvement.First,based on the qualitative research method of Grounded Theory,in-depth interviews were conducted to collect first-hand data.Thus,the connotation and three-dimensional structure of project team knowledge management capabilities in the field of engineering management were explored,i.e.,technology capabilities,regulation capabilities and culture capabilities.Accordingly,the theoretical model of the mechanism of the three-dimensional system of knowledge management capabilities on the engineering quality performance improvement was constructed in a bottom-up way.Then,following the normative empirical research paradigm,the questionnaire survey of project managers was carried out.Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the influence path,direction and intensity of different dimensions of knowledge management capabilities on engineering quality performance improvement.On this basis,combined with the grounded theoretical model and empirical research conclusions,a system dynamics model is established to simulate and predict the dynamic effect of three-dimensional knowledge management capabilities on engineering quality performance improvement.Meanwhile,it reveals the system evolution process of each subsystem of knowledge management capabilities to promote engineering quality performance improvement.Finally,from the perspective of the cultivation of three-dimensional knowledge management capabilities,the managerial strategies and suggestions to promote engineering quality performance improvement are put forward.The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)The theoretical model of the influence mechanism of knowledge management capabilities on engineering quality performance improvement is constructed.According to the qualitative research paradigm of Grounded Theory,the three-dimensional structure of knowledge management capabilities is excavated,which includes technology capabilities,regulation capabilities and culture capabilities,and then the theoretical model of the mechanism of knowledge management capabilities on engineering quality performance improvement is constructed.The model shows that knowledge management technology capabilities and culture capabilities can directly affect the engineering quality performance improvement,while regulation capabilities indirectly drive the engineering quality performance improvement through team interdependence.(2)The empirical study on the mechanism of knowledge management technology capabilities on the engineering quality performance improvement.Multivariate statistical analysis and structural equation modeling were used to empirically test and revise the mechanism of knowledge management technology capabilities in the theoretical model.The results show that knowledge cooperation and concern,the retrieval and use of new knowledge,and knowledge multi-situational learning can directly drive the engineering quality performance improvement,while the accuracy of knowledge classification standard has no significant effect on it.Big data analysis and application implementation play a mediating role between knowledge management technology capabilities and engineering quality performance improvement.Besides,big data analysis and application support have a positive moderating effect on the relationship between knowledge cooperation and concern,the retrieval and use of new knowledge,knowledge multi-situational learning and engineering quality performance improvement.Bigdata analysis and application atmosphere can positively moderate the relationship between knowledge multi-situational learning and engineering quality performance improvement.(3)The empirical study on the mechanism of knowledge management regulation capabilities on the engineering quality performance improvement.Multivariate statistical analysis and structural equation modeling were used to empirically test and revise the mechanism of knowledge management regulation capabilities in the theoretical model.The results show that the three dimensions of team interdependence(incentive interdependence,goal interdependence and task interdependence)play a mediating role in the relationship between the evaluation and reward and punishment mechanism and the engineering quality performance improvement.Besides,incentive interdependence also plays a mediating role in the relationship between coordination and error correction mechanism and engineering quality performance improvement.(4)The empirical study on the mechanism of knowledge management culture capabilities on the engineering quality performance improvement.Multivariate statistical analysis and structural equation modeling were used to empirically test and revise the mechanism of knowledge management culture capabilities in the theoretical model.The results show that different dimensions of knowledge management culture capabilities have significant differences in the influence path of engineering quality performance improvement.Knowledge learning vision has a direct positive driving effect on engineering quality performance improvement,while knowledge acquisition and training culture indirectly promote engineering quality performance improvement through the demand concern of responsible leadership.Besides,knowledge sharing and collaborative culture indirectly drive engineering quality performance improvement through the demand concern and decision collaboration of responsible leadership.(5)The system dynamics simulation research on the effect of knowledge management capabilities on engineering quality performance improvement.Based on the system dynamics simulation method,a system dynamics model of three-dimensional knowledge management capabilities on engineering quality performance improvement is constructed.The effect and dynamic evolution process of knowledge management capabilities on engineering quality performance improvement are dynamically simulated and predicted.The results show that there are significant differences in the effect of knowledge management technology capabilities,regulation capabilities and culture capabilities on engineering quality performance improvement.Among them,the effect of knowledge management technology capabilities is the most prominent,that of regulation capabilities is the second,and that of culture capabilities is the weakest.(6)Combined with the research results of Grounded Theory,empirical research and system dynamics simulation,this paper puts forward strategies and suggestions to promote continuous engineering quality performance improvement from three perspectives of knowledge management technology capabilities,knowledge management regulation capabilities and knowledge management culture capabilities.The paper has a total of 36 pictures,67 tables,and 298 references.
