Research On Traditional Landscape System Of Linfen Basin

With high-speed urbanization,many cities and regional natural systems in China have been gradually alienated.Great changes have taken place in the landscape and pattern of urban and rural areas.The traditional cultural landscape features have gradually faded under the impact of modernization.The protection of the diversity of territorial landscape is very urgent.It is of far-reaching significance to excavate the wisdom and connotation of traditional landscape construction,enrich the content and framework of the research of territorial landscape,summarize the temporal and spatial development rules and characteristics of regional landscape system,and enrich the research and protection system of small and medium-sized cities.In the perspective of territorial landscape system in China,Linfen basin is a typical representative of basin irrigation area in northwest arid area of China.In the process of historical development,the regional natural landscape and urban construction under the water conservancy network have gradually formed a unique traditional landscape system.At regional and urban scales,this study explores the temporal and spatial evolution and characteristics of traditional landscape system in Linfen basin before 1949.The study takes literature research and field survey as the basic methods to organize the historial materials and restore the traditional landscape pattern.It constructs the database of historical landscape based on Arc GIS tools.Combined with the spatial correlation analysis,visual relationship analysis,and graphical analysis,the process of spatial and temporal evolution and spatial coupling mechanism can be explored,the characteristics and regulations can be summarized.The study of regional scale is conducted from four levels: natural base,water conservancy construction,agricultural production and settlement construction.The study analyzes evolution process,characteristics and spatial pattern of the above levels,explores the coupling relationship between each level,summarizes the characteristics of traditional landscape system and the driving factors of construction of Linfen basin.The research at urban scale focuses on the construction characteristics of the traditional landscape system of the city as the core of the region.Taking five typical historical cities(Linfen,Jiangzhou,Hejin,Hongtong and Yicheng)as representatives,this paper discusses the overall relationship between each city and its region from the four levels of construction evolution,including landscape pattern,water conservancy network and cultural landscape,summarizes the mechanism characteristics of traditional landscape system in Linfen basin,and analyzes its construction thoughts.Based on the study of traditional landscape system,and combined with the development of modern urban and rural landscape systems,the study discusses the problems and potential,and proposes strategies of protection and development.Finally,three levels of conclusions are drawn: 1.The construction of the traditional landscape system in the Linfen Basin is based on the four levels of natural landscape,water conservancy,agriculture and settlement systems.The various systems are driven by factors such as safety,production,politics,and ideology,and overlap each other layer by layer and close coupling.2.The construction of the traditional urban landscape system in the Linfen Basin is guided by the natural and the development is supported by the regional water conservancy system,and is integrated into the humanistic artistic conception based on this.3.The protection and development of the traditional landscape system of the Linfen Basin can be carried out from the three core strategies of overall protection,cultural inheritance and adjusting measures to local conditions,including formulate multi-scale hierarchical and multi-domain cross-cutting development plans;improve the concepts and ideas of the protection and utilization of the urban traditional landscape system;continue the context and wisdom of the ancients to create a humanistic landscape.The innovation of this study lies in: 1.The perspective and idea of researching traditional landscape system;2.Typical cases and types of researching territorial landscape;3.Methods and technology of analyzing traditional landscape system.
