Enlightening,Breaking,and Leading:Study On The Value Of The Phenomenon Of Chinese Architects Participating In International Exhibitions

As an important medium in spreading architectural culture,the exhibition plays an important role in promoting cultural self-confidence.At the same time,as one of the important platforms for displaying and exchanging architectural theory and practice exploration,the exhibition has an important impact on the architectural industry.Among them,the international exhibition has become an important international competition track for Chinese architects’ architectural creation ideas.It has developed rapidly in recent years,and its value of theory and practice should be systematically studied.This thesis studies the value of the phenomenon of Chinese architects participating in international exhibitions,which is supported by the project of " Zhejiang University’s Striving for Excellent Doctoral Dissertation ".Firstly,this thesis takes knowledge archaeology as the methodological basis of the study,and takes the methods and tools of knowledge mapping as the technical support of the study.Based on the establishment of a relatively complete information database of 538 exhibitions participated by Chinese architects,this thesis makes an overall study on the exhibition phenomenon of Chinese architects,outlines the process outline of the four stages of "hongmeng","chupi","chuji" and "kaituo" through extensive reading,and abstracts the overall characteristics of "one path","two dimensions" and "three fields".On this basis,211 intensive reading samples of international architectural exhibitions participated by Chinese architects are selected and classified according to the three fields of "architecture,city,and countryside".Secondly,through the intensive reading,three keywords of "prototype" corresponding to the“architecture” field,"density" corresponding to the “urban” field,and "activation" corresponding to the “countryside” field are extracted respectively;Through the analysis of the fit between the exhibition theme and deep study keywords,the impact of the exhibition and the relevant important events in the year of the exhibition,16 fine research samples were selected.Through the deep study of samples under the keyword of "prototype",five theme derivatives of "experimental initiation,return to basics,reverse tradition,local practice,and expansion empowerment" are extracted.The significance and influence of the corresponding five epistemological aspects of architectural creation are obtained: "exploration of experimental spirit","return of cognitive concept","integration of traditional elements","practice of pragmatic criticism" and "empowerment of methods and skills".These whole characteristics show the value of "enlightening".Through the deep study of samples under the keyword "density",the three subject derivative words of "public definition,corner filling,and renewal symbiosis" are extracted.The significance and influence of the corresponding three urban practice methodology levels of "dealing with the fuzzy boundary of new town","dealing with the blank of urban corners" and "dealing with the micro renewal of old city" are obtained.These whole characteristics show the value of "breaking".Through the deep study of samples under the keyword of "activation",the three derivative words of "density" keywords of " basics jiebiao,format wenli,and land buyi" are extracted.The corresponding significance and influence of three rural practice methodology levels of "coping with the lack of rural public foundation","coping with the singleness of rural traditional business forms" and "coping with the decline of rural land attributes" are obtained.These whole characteristics show the value of "leading".Finally,by condensing the three values presented in the deep study samples,this thesis summarizes the characteristics and connotation of the " enlightening ","breaking " and "leading" values of the international exhibition phenomenon of Chinese architects,and the derived values are studied.
