Currently,the development of urban underground space has become an effective way to solve the shortage of urban land resources and support the rapid development of urbanization.Especially with the rapid development of rail transit construction," the urban Underground space in metro area " has become an important way to expand urban space,and become an effective way to enhance urban vitality,promote the high-quality urban development and improve the quality of urban life without increasing land supply.However,at present,the development of underground space in China’s metro area is faced with problems of uneven distribution and even loss of vitality,which lead to the lack of effective utilization of underground space,waste of resources,and outstanding contradiction with expected environmental,social and economic benefits in terms of environmental quality,accessibility and vitality.Therefore,this paper takes four typical underground spaces of metro area in Shanghai as research samples,and from the dual perspective of "people" and "space",deeply studies the internal relationship between the underground space environment of metro area and the spatial and temporal distribution of corresponding spatial vitality under different "time dimension" and "space scope" to reveal the influence rules of key variables of spatial environment on spatial vitality and evaluate the weight of spatial environment factors on spatial vitality at different research levels.Research results are helpful to deeply understand the relationship between the complex spatial environment of underground space in the metro area and its space-time vitality(daily travel of residents),and would provide new ideas and theoretical basis for the development and application of underground space vitality in a metro area in various cities.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The distribution characteristics of underground space vitality in Shanghai metro area show a fluctuation pattern of "low-upgrade-down-high-down-down".At the time level,the peak value of vitality appeared at 11:00-13:00 and 17:00-19:00,and the peak value was more significant at 17:00-19:00.At the spatial level,the dynamic distribution of underground space in each metro region is highly matched with the location of transportation hubs.In most periods,the overall vitality of traffic-oriented space is higher than that of business-oriented space.(2)The dynamic distribution of traffic guidance space by traffic convenience dimensions involved in most of the time transportation hub,vertical indicators,such as traffic,inward and outward dimensions involved through degree,and spatial structure integration index effect significantly,such as the class index and traffic evacuation and space to exist strong correlation,great influence on the actual traffic distribution.Secondly,it is influenced by the spatial function dimension,and is slightly influenced by the ornamental and comfort dimension in some periods.The spatial perception of trafficoriented space is significantly affected by spatial quality indexes in most periods,including spatial design and interface decoration indexes of ornamental dimension and illumination indexes of comfort dimension.The second dimension is traffic convenience degree,which is less affected by spatial function and spatial structure.(3)In most of the time,the vitality distribution of business-oriented space was greatly influenced by the transportation hub,vertical traffic,entrances and exits involved in the transportation convenience dimension,and the functional diversity involved in the spatial functional dimension,while the vitality distribution is relatively weak influenced by the ornamental,environmental comfort dimension and spatial structure dimension.Business oriented space perception by the appreciation of the space dimensions involved in most of the time of interface index influence such as adornment,followed by physical environment comfort dimensions related to the intensity of illumination,openness,temperature indicators,and degree of functional space dimensions involved through index,the spatial structure and traffic convenience dimensions and dimensions influence is relatively weak.(4)In the study period,the influence weights of spatial vitality,transportation accessibility and spatial structure vitality showed a "high-down-up-down-high" fluctuation pattern.The dynamic weight of space function,physical environment comfort and space appreciation shows a "low-upgrade-down-upgrade-low" fluctuation pattern.However,for spatial perception,the influence weight of each period has little change.(5)This study proved that noise,wind speed,greening,culture,parking lot and connectivity are basically unrelated to the dynamic distribution of underground space in the metro area of Shanghai.The spatial vitality distribution of commercial orientation was weakly correlated with the indicators of openness,signage system,spatial scale and visual integration.The dynamic distribution of traffic-oriented space was only weakly correlated with temperature,cold and warm light,clothing format and visual cleanliness.(6)In terms of vitality promotion strategy,underground space in metro area should rationally utilize rail transit hub to activate the vitality of surrounding areas,improve the layout of entrances and exits,optimize vertical transportation and build signage system; Use space syntax modeling software to predict the reasonable degree of underground space structure,and complete the optimization and improvement of space structure; Improve the functional diversity of the region through reasonable layout of business forms,improve the coupling of above-ground and underground functions,and promote the seamless rank of underground space and ground space;Ensure that the noise, illumination,temperature and humidity,air quality indicators meet the relevant provisions of the underground space specifications,expand the proportion of natural light into the area and reduce the use of cold light sources;The "passage,sign,node,region and boundary" of underground space was
