Research On Development And Application Of Contemporary Military Technology

As the most competitive arena of power and innovation,warfare has always been advanced with the development of military technology since it came into being.With the support and drive of military technology,warfare has evolved constantly in terms of shapes and modes as well as demisions of understanding,concept,system and domination,converting from the nature centric warfare to net centric warfare,from unit confrontation to network confrontation,from natural space to cognitive space,from spatial dominance to mental dominance,and triggering fiercely new rounds of the bloodyrevolution in military affairs.The rapid development of science and technology shed great influence on the shapes of all social practical activities,including warfare.The cognition of military technology and the law of warfare are not only the basic precondition for the armed troops to conduct military activities,but also the starting point in logical thinking as to what we should do to deal with the challenge of future warfare.In cognition,it is neccessary for us to study the origin,development and application of modern military technology,as well as accumulating revolutionary power behind,and then deduce its accurate application in the future warfare.In practice,attention should be focused on the evolution of war shapes and the trend of the revolution in military affairs,conforming to and having a good command of the trend of military technology.In-depth research should be alsocentered on the latest achievements of cutting-edge military technology and their effective applications,highlighting important subversive and innovative technology,andfurther proposingprepositive conception and strategic layout.In addition,the innovative application modes of support mechanism of winning a war,combat theories and developmnt of equipment and weaponry should be studied.Guided by Xi Jinping’s thinking on strenthening the military,this research is conducted under the direction of the following principles: emphasis on the full implementation of the strategy to develop the military through science and technology,and persistent focus on preparing for war,innovation-driven development,independent innovation strategy as well as strategic priorities.This dissertation follows the“meta-theory – basic theory – application” trinity research methodoloy.First of all,after studying the evolution of military technology and warfare as well as major theoretic and realistic issues in the forefront of military technology,it puts forward the meta-theoretical research on the military philosophy,aiming at the development law of leading military technology,as well as the corresponding strategic choices,ethics regulationsand social influences in the era of globalization.It conducts the basic theoretic research from the perspectives of the nature,functions and values of military technology,studying the objective process of military technology development,looking forward to and grasping the trend of modern military technology,and exploring the objective laws of its causality,necessity and probability.On the basis of the research,this dissertation proposes to make right routes and plans,avoid potential or predictable risks,dispel “scientific mist”,find out “technological traps”,and prevent“great-leap-forward development”,pinpointing the budding front-end source points in the new round of the revolution in military affairs and making prophetic judgment and presetting in the aspects of military technology development as well as equipment and weaponry innovation.
