Research Of Rural Landscape Character Identification And Protection Strategy In The Pearl River Delta

With the proposal of the rural revitalization strategy,the countryside ushered in an important opportunity for development,but as an important part of the rural revitalization work,the rural landscape also ushered in greater challenges with the acceleration of the process of urbanization.In the rapid development of the Pearl River Delta,the rural landscape is undergoing an unprecedented rapid change,and the rapid change has caused the contradiction between the rate of the countryside and the daily needs of the residents.In addition,in the rapid development,the lack of awareness of rural landscape protection and improper methods make rural landscape appear the negative trend of ’thousand villages look the same’,which also makes the rural landscape declined.This further caused the change of the relationship between rural residents and rural landscape,and it is necessary to scientifically and effectively grasp the core essence of the rural landscape characteri of the Pearl River Delta in the process of change.so as to help improve the implementation mechanism of rural construction.improve the rural living environment and be conducive to the science,accuracy and efficiency of rural protection and planning.In the rapid development of the Pearl River Delta rural areas,in order to accurately identify and protect the key landscape character is the key to the sustainable development of the Pearl River Delta rural landscape.Landscape Character Assessment,which reflects the sense of regional place,reveals the differences of rural regional landscape character,provides important decision-making and support for rural planning and protection.It is also effectively protects the key landscape character of rural areas.However,each scale and the application strategies to deal with the results of LCA in China are still insufficient.The planning and protection of the Pearl River Delta rural landscape may always be in a relatively inefficient state without a complete theory and system research or localization of the application models.It is impossible to grasp the key character of the rural landscape in the Pearl River Delta might lead to a sustainable relationship between human and land development in the Pearl River Delta in the process of rapid urbanization.It is also unable to link up with the existing methods related to the improvement of rural human settlements,such as rural planning,which is not conducive to the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.Therefore,the purpose of this paper is to take the villages of the Pearl River Delta as the research object,through the research on the current research situation of landscape feature evaluation at home and abroad,and with the help of case study,field research,comparison and empirical methods and interdisciplinary.Try to localize and translate the methods of landscape character assessment in order to explore the research methods of rural landscape character in the Pearl River Delta on a smaller scale at the village level.It also puts forward the protection planning strategy for the application of landscape character assessment method in the rural areas of the Pearl River Delta.The dissertation is mainly divided into three parts.The first part is theoretical research,which systematically expounds the important significance of the cognition of the concept of ’landscape character’ in rural renewal,and demonstrates ’rural landscape character’ as the key method of rural "sense of place" and rural planning.By the development,work flow and scale of landscape character assessment,this paper proves the rationality,accuracy and maneuverability of landscape character assessment in the countryside of Pearl River Delta,and puts forward a tentative idea of practical method for its localization.It also put forward the solutions to the potential shortcomings after its localization.At the same time,for the Pearl River Delta villages in the research areas,the specific local translation mechanism,the basis of village selection and the overall technical framework of landscape character also provide a logical guarantee for the subsequent study of landscape character.The second part is the research on the rural landscape character assessment of the Pearl River Delta at different scales.Starting with the evolution,trend,opportunity and driving force of the overall rural landscape character assessment of the Pearl River Delta,this paper analyzes the overall character of the rural landscape of the Pearl River Delta in the two views of nature and culture.It evaluates the LCA on three site scales based on the superimposed results.These three site scales focus on the natural ecological pattern,human settlement pattern,human settlements public space comprehensive environment.In the countryside,it is defined as the village domain,the village construction area and the village public space three scales to carry on the perception,it starts the research of landscape character assessment.Some representative villages in the Pearl River Delta are selected and divided into six categories:Guangfu Pearl River Delta Plain,Guangfu Pearl River Delta Mountain,Hakka Pearl River Delta Mountain,Guangfu Pearl River Delta Estuary and Hakka Pearl River Delta Plain.It offers different identification of landscape character assessment on three scales.On the village scale,the identification methods of key landscape character of natural area,semi-natural area and village built area.On the village scale,the key landscape character identification methods of settlement,entrance area,edge and public space.On the scale of village public space,the key landscape character identification methods of large public space,linear public space and landmarks.It also illustrates protection strategies and guidelines according to their landscape character assessment.These three site-scale LCA work together to build a small-scale Pearl River Delta rural key landscape character protection mechanism.The third part is the application of rural landscape character assessment based on the Pearl River Delta.The application of the LCA results of rural landscape characteristics in the Pearl River Delta is divided into three forms:the first one is based on the LCA results of three site scales,and the audience is all those involved in rural construction.The LCA manual for landscape feature protection is mentioned by designers,villagers and decision makers;the second is the suggestion manual for villagers’ participation in the protection of landscape character.The third is to take the designers involved in the construction of the rural environment as the main audience,and put forward non-template detailed elastic guidelines on the basis of landscape character.In the aspect of application,it strengthens the two key points of villagers’participation and flexible guidelines,and complements the future rural landscape protection and planning in the Pearl River Delta on the overall framework.Rural planning and protection work will be guaranteed as a long-term dynamic workflow rather than a single transformation activity.In the specific application form,it emphasizes "blank" and tactical rural planning to increase villagers’ participation,and the flexible guidelines optimize the evaluation mechanism of rural landscape renewal.It also puts forward more practical and sustainable suggestions for the follow-up rural planning and updating manual and guide form.Based on the study of site-scale landscape character in the theory of landscape character assessment,this dissertation localizes the method in the rural areas of the Pearl River Delta with multiple research methods,it further discovers in the three site scales and identify the landscape character in the village,village construction area and village public space.It explores the logic and application form of the evaluation results of rural landscape character assessment in the Pearl River Delta.Try to make it an effective way and tool to contribute to the rural practice in the Pearl River Delta.
