| With the formulation and implementation of the Medium-and Long-term Railway Network Plan in 2004,2008 and 2016,the network development trend of high-speed rail has been strengthened, gradually forming a network pattern with close connections and complex structures. While promoting the cross-regional flow and interactive reorganization of resource elements, the high-speed railway network has strengthened the spatial correlation between high-speed railway lines and nodes, improved the accessibility of cities along the route and promoted the economic growth of cities along the route. At this stage,high-speed railroad construction is gradually expanding to county areas, bringing new opportunities for the development of county economies. Therefore,it is of strong theoretical and practical significance to analyze the spatial effects of high-speed rail on county economic growth and clarify the impact of high-speed rail network on county economic growth from the perspectives of spatial correlation and spatial heterogeneity,in order to guide counties to effectively embed in high-speed rail network and seize economic growth advantages. There are many studies on the impact of high-speed rail network on economic growth at home and abroad, with different research contents and perspectives, but very few studies on the impact of high-speed rail network on county economy,as follows:(1)fewer studies on high-speed rail network are conducted at the county level, and generally focus on discussing the spatial structure characteristics of high-speed rail network in a certain year;(2)the precision of quantitative indicators of high-speed rail network is slightly insufficient, and scholars(3)the spatial heterogeneity of the HSR network has not been examined from the perspective of county linkage hierarchy, and the spatial heterogeneity impact of different construction periods of the HSR network on county economic growth has been ignored.Based on the above background, this paper uses the basic theory of new economic geography, the theory of "flow space",the theory of spatial interaction and the theory of non-equilibrium development, and employs the methods of social network analysis, spatial econometric analysis and geographically weighted regression analysis to investigate the following three aspects:(1)the structural evolution characteristics of high-speed rail network;(2)the spatial heterogeneity of high-speed rail network on county economic growth;(3)the spatial heterogeneity of high-speed rail network on county economic growth;and(4)the spatial heterogeneity of county economic growth.(2)spatial correlation of the impact of high-speed rail network on county economic growth;(3)spatial heterogeneity of the impact of high-speed rail network on county economic growth. The following research conclusions are drawn. The spatial heterogeneity of high-speed rail network is obvious, and the spatial distribution is "multi-core".Specifically:(1)the network density of high-speed rail network has increased significantly, and the coverage of the high value of network centrality has been expanded in phases;(2)the network hierarchy of high-speed rail network has significant heterogeneity, and the first level has obvious location advantages and is the most significant node effect among the three levels;(3)the amount of high-speed rail flow linkages in counties is clustered into eight cohesive subgroups at the three-level level, and along with the progress of high-speed rail construction, the size of county subgroups With the advancement of high-speed railway construction process, the scale of county subgroups is expanding and differentiating, thus the county will gradually realize the change from polycentric network development to multi-level network development mode. The high-speed railway network has certain influence on the spatial correlation of county economic growth.Specifically,(1)the high-speed rail network reduces the time distance between counties and strengthens the spillover effect of county economies, which makes the positive impact of county population size, industrial development level and residents’ consumption level on economic growth.Among them,in the pre-construction period of high-speed railway network from 2008 to 2013,the degree of influence of residents’ consumption level on county economic growth was significantly increased;in the post-construction period of high-speed railway network from 2013 to2018,the marginal output elasticity of labor force on economic growth was significantly increased,in addition, the contribution of county population size and market size to local economic growth was greater than that to economic growth in the outlying areas.(2)There are differences in the spatial correlation effects of high-speed rail network construction. In terms of the regional location of counties, the spatial correlation of eastern and central counties is the strongest under the effect of high-speed railway network, and the economic growth of eastern counties shows positive direct effect and negative spillover effect, and mainly shows negative spillover effect to central counties;in terms of the connection level of counties, the spatial correlation effects of the third, first and second tier counties weaken in order under the effect of high-speed railway network, while the The direct effects of high-speed rail network on the total economic impact of counties are all greater than the indirect effects.(3)The spatial correlation effect of high-speed rail network on the economic growth of counties outside the municipal jurisdiction is significantly positive. In different periods of high-speed rail network construction, the local contribution of high-speed rail network centrality to county economic growth is greater than the spatial contribution. There is a spatially heterogeneous impact of high-speed rail network on county economic growth, and it is manifested in counties in different regions or in counties at different levels of high-speed rail flows.Specifically,(1)in terms of the regional dimension, the later stage of high-speed rail network construction mainly strengthens the correlation between high-speed rail network and economic growth in the eastern and northeastern regions compared with the earlier stage, and mainly weakens the correlation between high-speed rail network and economic growth in the western and central regions;the positive effect of high-speed rail network affecting county economic growth is concentrated in 59.52% of eastern counties and 77.81% of western high-speed rail counties.(2)In terms of the linkage level dimension, the later stage of HSR network construction mainly strengthens the correlation between HSR network and economic growth at the first and third levels compared with the earlier stage, and mainly weakens the correlation between HSR network and economic growth at the second level;the positive effect of HSR network affecting county economic growth is concentrated in 54.55% of the first level HSR counties.(3)In terms of the impact of other major drivers on county economic growth, the level of industrial development has the greatest impact on county economic growth in the late stage of HSR construction compared to the early stage of construction, and its spatial non-smoothness increases significantly, thus becoming one of the drivers that exacerbate the non-equilibrium type of county economic growth.Based on the findings of the study, the following four policy recommendations are proposed:(1)further optimize the layout of the high-speed rail network based on the "center-periphery" development model;(2)rely on the connectivity of the high-speed rail network to broaden the exchange channels of counties;(3)guide the differentiated development of counties based on the characteristics of factor endowments;(4)rely on the advantages of(4)relying on the advantages of high-speed rail network to promote the construction of new urbanization. The innovations of this study include:(1)revealing the characteristics and laws of the evolution of high-speed rail network structure, which is conducive to a more microscopic and systematic understanding of the spatial structure of high-speed rail counties and provides a scientific basis for further optimizing the layout of high-speed rail networks at the county level;(2)verifying the spatial correlation between high-speed rail networks and county economic growth, which to a certain extent complements the quantitative analysis of the connectivity of high-speed rail networks and is conducive to(3)measuring the spatial heterogeneity of the impact of high-speed rail network on county economic growth, and discovering micro-phenomena such as reinforced positive effect, reinforced negative effect, weakened positive effect and weakened negative effect, which have not been revealed in the existing studies, which helps to deeply understand the economic activities of high-speed rail network in the non-equilibrium space, and makes a contribution to the cross-fertilization of economics and geography under the framework of new economic geography. It makes a new practice and addition to the cross-fertilization of economics and geography in the framework of new economic geography. |
