As a convenient and fast modern means of transportation,high-speed railway has a strong space-time compression ability, which significantly improves regional accessibility, speeds up the flow of factors and resources, promotes the industrial layout, industrial structure adjustment and economic agglomeration of urban agglomerations, and plays a great role in promoting the development of spatial structure of urban agglomerations. The National Key Task of New Urbanization Construction and Integrated Urban-rural Development in 2020 clearly proposes to fully implement the development plan of urban agglomeration and accelerate the construction of an urbanization spatial pattern with coordinated development of cities at all levels. The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration is one of the most dynamic and developed urban agglomerations in the northern part of China and the whole country with outstanding geographical advantages and strong economic strength. The analysis of the influence path and degree of high-speed railway on the economic spatial structure will help the realization of the goal of constructing a coordinated urbanization spatial pattern in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration. This paper constructs the influence mechanism of high-speed railway on regional spatial structure evolution based on the theories of new economic geography and spatial structure development of urban agglomeration;constructs spatial weight matrix and spatial econometric model to analyze the influence of high-speed rail on the spatial correlation of economic strength of urban agglomerations based on the change of accessibility;analyzes the change of economic spatial connection degree and spatial structure of urban agglomeration caused by high-speed rail construction.based on a modified gravity model and social network analysis. The results show that :(1)The opening of high-speed rail significantly reduces the weighted average travel time of cities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, and makes the spatial distribution of travel time more balanced. At the same time,high-speed rail expands the travel coverage of each city at the same time, which contributes to the flow of economic factors of production and the interaction of urban space within the region.(2)The opening of high-speed railway reduces the spatial positive correlation of the economic strength of each city. That is to say,the opening of high-speed railway has a certain weakening effect on the agglomeration of the economic strength of the cities within the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei city group in the adjacent space, which increases the degree of difference in the level of economic development between the cities, and exacerbates the unbalanced and asymmetrical economic development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.(3)High-speed railways have strengthened economic ties among cities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The economic radiation and agglomeration of each city to other cities have been improved. However,on the whole,high-speed rail has strengthened the original main economic spatial effect of this city, widened the development gap between cities, and further strengthened the double-center spatial pattern in this region. The research contributions of this paper are as follows:(1)The study on the influence path of high-speed railway on the development of economic spatial structure of urban agglomeration has been improved.(2)The spatial weight matrix and Spatial Durbin Model are introduced into the study of the spatial effect of high-speed railway on regional economic development, and the spatial effect of high-speed railway in regional economic development and spatial restructuring is empirically tested.Based on the research conclusions, this paper puts forward the key issues and reasonable policy suggestions for future high-speed railway construction in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration.
