Located in the hinterland of the Wuling Mountains,Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture(hereinafter referred to as Xiangxi Prefecture)has a unique folklore of Tujia,Miao and other ethnic minorities living in its territory,and has preserved a number of traditional villages,which are the carrier of ethnic culture.These villages are located in a special environment,rich in human resources,rich in folk customs and diverse living habits,and these characteristics all influence the formation of village color.In the process of building traditional villages in western Hunan,village color is an important carrier for expressing the regional culture of western Hunan,highlighting the traditional spirit of western Hunan,and highlighting the unique personality of western Hunan.At present,under the background of rural revitalization strategy,the national guidelines for rural construction,the demand of tourism industry development and the policy of Intangible Cultural Heritage protection are all favorable external environments for traditional village color development.However,the color of traditional villages in western Hunan presents the status quo of a thousand villages,the lack of cultural lineage,damaged style and lack of maintenance.Therefore,the color of traditional villages in western Hunan is an urgent problem in the process of developing rural tourism and creating a beautiful village for living and working.At present,there is a lack of research methods and a weak theoretical research system for the study of traditional villages in the Xiangxi region,and there is a lack of research results that can be used for practical operation.Most of the current research methods on traditional village colors at home and abroad start from the physical attributes of village colors and lack humanistic care for the subjects of traditional villages.Therefore,the thesis research starts from the perspective of the existence of the traditional village subject as well as the subject’s perception,and takes village construction as the research background to create a harmonious and beautiful traditional village country building color,so as to create a place atmosphere with regional characteristics and realize the purpose of achieving the same subject and village.The color design of the thesis is different from the traditional mode of "economic" or "visual impact" color design,but it turns to realize the spiritual belonging of the village subject and the humanistic care for the village subject as the design purpose.In the design process,the thesis always focuses on the main body of the village,relying on the cultural structure of the village with vitality,searching for the cultural prototype of the traditional village of western Hunan,summarizing the spirit of the traditional village of western Hunan,transforming the color imagery of the traditional village of western Hunan,so that the main body of the village can realize its own existence,continue the spirit of the "five ethical norms" in the traditional Confucian culture,so that the goodness and innocence of its nature can be revealed in its life,and finally build a beautiful village that is pleasant to live and work in.The theoretical research of the dissertation digs deeper into the color design of village architecture from a philosophical perspective,using theoretical knowledge of existentialism,structuralism,phenomenology,psychoanalysis,linguistics,and semiotics to systematically study the color of traditional village rural construction in western Hunan.Taking the spirit of Xiangxi traditional villages as the source of creativity,the cultural structure and spiritual concept of Xiangxi traditional villages are refined,and then through the correspondence of Confucianism’s five ethical norms culture and the five elements,the transformation of the five elements and the five colors is used to transform into the color imagery of Xiangxi traditional villages,so as to establish the color spectrum of Xiangxi traditional villages,and on this basis,the color control measures of Xiangxi traditional villages are also designed and verified through practical cases.The research significance of the thesis: to create a beautiful countryside for living and working,to develop rural tourism by designing the ideal and beautiful traditional villages in western Hunan,and to realize rural revitalization by means of industrial revitalization.The traditional villages in western Hunan contain a unique humanistic spirit,the "cultural archetype" of traditional villages in western Hunan,and this unique humanistic spirit of "innocence" and "kindness" of the Confucian five ethical norms cultures is the spiritual source of the rural construction of traditional villages in western Hunan.It is one of the paths to realize the spiritual qualities of "innocence" and "goodness" in the nature of traditional villages in western Hunan.Therefore,the design principle of Xiangxi traditional village village color is to achieve the "same" color of traditional village place and the spirit of the main body of the village,so as to create a beautiful Xiangxi traditional village village village color,highlight the unique Xiangxi traditional village place spirit,and realize the harmonious coexistence and rational coexistence of Xiangxi traditional village,nature,people and color.In the end,the ideal home of traditional villages in western Hunan will be created,and the real goal of the development of traditional villages in western Hunan-"beautiful villages for living and working"-will be realized.Chapter 1 of the thesis clarifies the relationship between the rural construction strategy and the color of traditional villages in western Hunan,and explains how to study the color of traditional villages in western Hunan in the context of the rural revitalization strategy;Chapter 2 of the thesis provides an overview of the color of traditional villages in western Hunan from the aspects of color theory,color design of traditional villages,color problems of traditional villages,and research methods of color of traditional villages;Chapter 3 of the thesis systematically composes the traditional villages in western Hunan as a research vehicle,and clarifies the dynamic correlation between the natural,humanistic,historical,pattern,religious and other factors of traditional villages in western Hunan and color memory;Chapter 4innovatively constructs a theoretical model of Xiangxi traditional village color design on the basis of existentialism phenomenology,collective unconsciousness theory and cultural archetypes theory,proposing the theoretical model of "archetypes remodeling" → "five elements transformation" → "place embodiment";Chapter 5 of the dissertation uses Chapter 4 as a basis to abstract the cultural memory of Xiangxi traditional village color into Xiangxi traditional village cultural archetypes and the spirit of place,thus summarizing the color imagery of Xiangxi traditional village around the unity of subjectivity,spirituality and history;Chapter 6 of the thesis will combine the requirements of traditional village village construction era,return to the traditional village culture itself with the unique concept of traditional village spirit as the core,from the macro,meso and micro levels to elaborate the operation method of color design of traditional village village village construction in Xiangxi;Chapter 7of the thesis through a specific case(Xiangxi Luxi County Yanmen ancient fortress village construction color design)to verify the color design method of traditional village village village construction in Xiangxi.
