| As a typical example of modern Chinese art societies,the research on Juelan Society is mostly carried out from the "Avant-garde " expressed in its works and manifestos,and its organization,personnel,articles of association and other associations are unknown.In addition,the Juelan Society has evolved from the "new foreign painting group" in the 1930s,to the "poisonous weed of bourgeois formalism" after the founding of New China,and then to the "epoch-making pioneer of Chinese modern art" in the 1980s.Its image is constantly changing,whether these evaluations are consistent with the historical appearance of the Juelan Society,and whether this phenomenon and the process of change reflect the changes in the historical context are all questions that can be explored.This article will start from the historical data,combined with the previous research,to re-study the Juelan Society and its influence in three chapters.The first chapter focuses on its personnel,activities,organization and other aspects as a society,and responds to some common "misunderstandings" of the existing Juelan Society.First of all,the article attempts to study the members of the Juelan Society from the perspective of the gathering process and identification.Secondly,the establishment process of the Juelan Society is verified from three aspects: the origin of the organization,the time of its establishment,and the artistic activities.Thirdly,from the perspective of the association,it will verify its rules,regulations and organizational methods,and try to restore its "regulations".Finally,supplement the situation of Daxiong Industrial and Commercial Art Club and Juelan Studio.The second chapter places Juelan Society in the overall environment of Shanghai and even modern Chinese art at that time,compares and locates Juelan Society with the declarations,works and influences of other art groups that advocated Western modern painting at that time,and uses historical scenes Echoing the image and influence of Juelan Society at that time.The third chapter takes the image changes of Juelan society in different periods as the clue,analyzes and interprets the reasons for its image changes,as well as the artistic context,cultural context and social context behind it,and pays particular attention to the phenomenon and reasons why the image of Juelan society is becoming more and more high-profile after the reform and opening up. |
