| In the development history of Marxism, civilization is an important theoretical and practical problem that marxist classical writers pay great attention to.It constitutes the basic content of historical materialism and is also an important part of Mao Zedong’s philosophical thought.Based on the thoughts and behaviors of young Mao Zedong on modern Chinese civilization, this paper focuses on the formation basis, thought evolution, core content, important methods and basic characteristics of young Mao Zedong’s view of civilization, and tries to make a contribution to further expand the research of Mao Zedong’s view of civilization.Since modern times,as China was gradually reduced to a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society under the invasion of western powers, the Chinese nation, with a 5,000-year history of civilization, urgently needed to answer the major question of The Times:"what kind of civilization to realize and how to realize civilization".To this end,a large number of people with lofty ideals have made specific and unique exploration and reflection from many aspects such as theory and practice. It has formed different ways of interpreting civilization from different angles and tendencies, such as implements, system, culture, ancient and modern,Chinese and western.Itprovides rich thought resources for young Mao Zedong to solve the problem of"what kind of civilization to realize and how to realize civilization" from both theoretical and practical aspects. In the preface, the thesis introduces the purpose of the topic, the theoretical and practical significance of the topic. On this basis, the thesis further focuses on the core topic of "what kind of civilization to realize and how to realize civilization",systematically sorts out and summarizes the existing research results of young Mao Zedong’s view of civilization at home and abroad, puts forward some breakthrough points of the article, and expounds the research methods such as the unification of history and logic. In the first chapter, the core concepts such as "civilization","civilization view"and "young Mao Zedong’s civilization view" are analyzed and defined in advance.Faced with the concept of "civilization" with extremely diverse definitions, paper adheres to marxist basic theory of "civilization" as a guide. At the same time, closely related to modern China "what kind of civilization to achieve, how to achieve civilization" this theme of The Times.By systematically sorting out the analytical perspectives and basic ideas of modern Chinese advanced intellectuals, including young Mao Zedong,on civilization, this paper clearly explains the core concepts of this paper, such as "civilization" and "young Mao Zedong’s view of civilization".The second chapter focuses on the formation of young Mao Zedong’s view of civilization.Under the impact of western civilization in modern China, the crisis of implements civilization, system civilization, spiritual civilization and the civilization transformation caused by it in practice are the historical background of the formation of young Mao Zedong’s view of civilization. The ideological origin of the formation of young Mao Zedong’s view of civilization is the conflict between ancient and modern China and the West caused by this historical process of civilization transformation. In the interaction with The Times, young Mao Zedong’s individual thinking on modern Chinese civilization, his deep concern for laborers, the nation and even the fate of mankind, and his unremitting pursuit of the ideal of "great harmony"are the intrinsic motivation for the formation of young Mao Zedong’s view of civilization. The third chapter systematically combs and investigates the evolution of young Mao Zedong’s view of civilization from the dimension of combining history and logic, such as preliminary interpretation, theoretical construction and practical expansion.According to the course of the transformation of young Mao Zedong’s thought, this paper divides the evolution of young Mao Zedong’s civilization view into three stages:first, the preliminary interpretation stage, that is,before the summer of 1917.In this period, based on the achievements of ancient and modern Chinese and western spiritual civilization,he made a relatively conscious reflection on ancient and modern civilization and the relationship between Chinese and western civilization, and made a preliminary exploration of the subject of civilization and the path of civilization. The second is the formation stage of the theory, that is,from autumn 1917 to spring 1918.During this period,he systematically formed and elucidated his unique view of civilization through the critical reading of The Principles of Ethics and other classics, and realized the subject reform and road reconstruction on the issue of civilization. The third is the stage of practice expansion, that is,from June 1918 to early 1921.During this period, young Mao Zedong focused on exploring and opening up the advance path of modern Chinese civilization through the combination of theory and practice.Chapter four is a summary of the basic content of young Mao Zedong’s view of civilization.Through a systematic review of the ideological evolution of young Mao Zedong’s view of civilization, this paper holds that the basic content of young Mao Zedong’s view of civilization can be grasped from the following four perspectives. That is,the view of civilization form combining spiritual civilization and material civilization, the view of civilization subject combining individual and people, the view of civilization path combining reform and revolution, and the view of civilization goal combining ideal and reality. The fifth chapter is about the analysis method and its basic characteristics contained in young Mao Zedong’s view of civilization. On the basis of fully possessing relevant materials, the paper believes through analysis that in the process of actively exploring the topic of the times of "what kind of civilization to achieve and how to realize civilization",the young Mao Zedong consciously used the analysis method of unifying "extracting essence" and "using macros",combining self-transformation with transforming the world, and connecting "what" and "how to do",showing distinct revolutionary, scientific integration, strong dynamics and other important characteristics.Chapter six is about the era significance of young Mao Zedong’s view of civilization. The thoughts and actions of the young Mao Zedong on the issue of civilization inspire us to aspire to create a new form of civilization in the integration of ancient and modern and the integration of China and the West, mobilize the initiative of various civilization subjects in the interaction between individuals and groups, and open up the way of civilization in the unity of transforming the subjective and objective worlds, and clarify the ideal of civilization in the unification of world harmony and national rejuvenation. |
