The branch of Dai nationality, which lives in Yunnan Province and believes in the Theravada Buddhism, develops a traditional dance with distinctive style, various forms and unique Dai characters in the long evolution of history and culture. This paper intends to interpret the traditional dance forms of this particular branch of Dai respectively from historical, cultural and aesthetical aspects in the perspective of dance history. The conclusion of the paper is , the dance forms of the branch of Dai nationality, which lives in Yunnan province and believes in the Theravada Buddhism is that including the Chinese civilization, the civilization of Baiyue people, the Theravada Buddhism civilization. And the Theravada Buddhism civilization is have a most important influence in the branch of Dai nationalitywhich lives in Yunnan province and believes in the Theravada Buddhism of their traditional dance forms.
