The new Chinese music started in the first half of the 20 th century.After the enlightenment of the school songs,it accepted the baptism of the “May 4th” New Culture Movement and experienced the “the influences of Western culture and civilization”.Western music culture had increasingly penetrated into the development of new Chinese music.As an important musical instrument in Western music,the piano had also begun to spread in China and had been integrated into Chinese new music,forming a development process of Chinese piano performance from scratch and from the weak to the strong.Taking the concert performance as its presentation,it has the historical significance of entering the annals of history.The50-year history is not long with the simple initial development,but it contains the unremitting pursuit of the first generation of Chinese pianists and the foundation laid for the prosperity and glory of Chinese piano performance art.Taking history as a mirror,the study on this history has important practical significance.The paper takes the Chinese piano performances in the first half of the 20 th century as the research object to analyze the piano performance processes as well as their historical materials from different perspectives.Firstly,for the Chinese piano performances at their infancy in China,this paper introduces the specific cultural and historical backgrounds generated by Chinese piano performances and also the important factors promoting Chinese piano performances,in the mean time,this paper also tides up the historical materials of the early piano performances in China in the first half of the 20 th century.Secondly,the paper tides up and analyzes the historical materials of the piano performances of the music education institutions and in social activities in China in the 1920 s,and determined the beginning of the history of piano performances in China,after that,this paper summarizes the performance characteristics of this stage.Thirdly,the paper studies the historical materials of the piano performances of professional music colleges and in social activities in China,including the frequency of piano performances,the style of piano works,the form of piano performances,and the statistics of the number of piano performers.After analyzing the important deeds of Chinese and foreign pianists and their important contributions to the development of piano performance in China,the detailed historical materials in the newspaper are used to explore the characteristics of the preliminary development period of Chinese piano performances.In addition,after the outbreak of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression,the history of Chinese piano performances came to a stage of development with twists and turns.Through the analysis of the performances and music competitions of professional music colleges and pianists in China at that time,the paper summarizes the development of piano performances in China at this stage.Finally,the historical context of Chinese piano performances is clarified from the perspectives of sociology and communication to summarize the development characteristics of Chinese piano performance history in a specific social environment,aiming to increase comprehensive and systematic academic attentions to the historical development of Chinese piano performances.Chinese piano music develops along with the new Chinese music in the 20 th century,and its history can be regarded as a microcosm of the development of new Chinese music.As one of the main subjects of Chinese piano art,art of playing is inseparable from the historical process and development law of Chinese new music,and shows the distinct social,practical and contemporary characteristics.This study has certain significances for the construction of new music culture in China. |
