In the traditional study of the borrowing relationship between Chinese and ethnic languages, words are generally used as the basic unit.We believe that the morphemes should be the basic unit. There are lots of Chinese borrowed morphemes or related morphemes in Yao language. But in the past research,no one has systematically sorted out and summarized this.We believe that Chinese borrowed morphemes are important materials for the study of ancient Yao phonetic systems, and are of great significance for exploring the homology between Miao Yao and Chinese. Therefore,on the basis of previous investigations and researches, this paper takes morphemes as the research unit, combines the 6 language point materials of Yao language, and comprehensively investigates the basic morphemes borrowed from Chinese in Yao language through historical comparison method, analytic hierarchy process and phonetic correspondence method.Appearance, summarizing, and sorting out the law of sound change. This article is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, which mainly discusses the research background of this paper, the basic situation of Chinese and Yao languages, the previous research situation, research purpose, research methods, ideas, research principles and so on.The most important thing about our research is that we take morphemes as the basic unit, and we pay more attentions to the role of sound changes in finding Chinese borrowed morphemes and related morphemes in Yao language. In the second chapter,First of all,we briefly introduce the distribution and phonology of modern Yao dialect, native language, and then introduce the phonology of Chinese dialects around Yao language, such as southwest Chinese Mandarin,Hakka,Cantonese and Hunan. There are many ancient Chinese loanwords in Yao language,so we also introduced the syllable structure of ancient Chinese, the ancient Chinese phonetic system, and the medieval Chinese phonetic system. The third chapter introduces several main manifestations of sound change, which are divided into real time sound change, virtual and real sound change, natural sound change, internal sound change, borrowed sound change, etc. Then, the evolution rules of consonants and finals are introduced. In the fourth chapter,we select 6 language points and divide the initials of Chinese borrowed morphemes in Yao into labial initials, labiodental initials, alveolar initials, revolute initials, velar initials, uvula initials, and glottal sounds..Based on the rules of initial consonant change, this paper expounds the initial phonetic characteristics of Chinese borrowed morphemes in Yao language. The fifth chapter mainly selects the common i-type、ɑ-type、(?)-type、(?)-type、u-type、(?)-type finals in Yao borrowed morphemes as examples, and analyzes the phonetic change characteristics of the finals. In the sixth chapter,we take "Lin" as an example, through the analysis of the historical phonetic changes and the interpretation of the chain shift,we believe that the “ Lin ” is the relative morpheme in Miao-yao(Hmong-Mien)language and Chinese.Chapter 7 is conclusion and prospect of this dissertation.
