Words Borrowed From Chinese In Thai

Through investigation in various materials,I picked up more than 500 words that Thai borrows from Chinese,Chinese students helped me to investigate to findspecific words in local dialects.The importance of this summary is researching Thai borrowed from Chinese basicbackgrounds of language exchange between China and Thailand,and also investigate the origin,meaning and social usages.In the report,first I will explain historical course of relations between China and Thailand,it is a development by previous Chinese immigrants that settled in Thailand and progressive analysisof three fields,studying these borrowed words under the background of relationship between China and Thailand.Secondary analysises of borrowed words by origin,borrowed words that came from the Southern Min Languages of Fujian,the Southern Min Languages of Chaozhou,the Southern Min Languages of Hainan,Cantonese and Hakka.This article says the specific origin of borrowed words.Through the meaning of borrowed words,and compared usage of these words,deviding the meaning into original meaningful words and different meaningful words.On the other hand,theusage range of borrowed words,some usages are different from the original one,I tried to classify the words with social usages,then divided the words into specific terms,Chinese and foreign words.
