The Research On Self-construction Of The College Communist Youth League In The New Era

As a mass organization of advanced youth under the leadership of the Communist Party of China(CPC),the Communist Youth League of China(CYL)plays the role of fresh troops and commandos in the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics.The Communist Youth League in colleges and universities occupies a fundamental,strategic and source position in the whole league,and assumes the role and functions of a pivotal organization in the “great ideological and political” pattern of colleges and universities.The strength of the construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities is related to the solidity of the foundation of the Communist Youth League and the success of the cause of cultivating people in higher education institutions.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities in the new era,which,however,has not yet received a systematic investigation from the academic field.Therefore,it is a task that academic research needs to accomplish in the initial stage to cover the five aspects of political construction,ideological construction,organizational construction,style construction and institutional construction involved in the construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities for a comprehensive study,instead of studying only one of them.This paper takes the construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities in the new era as the main object,and the research covers the basic issues of guiding theory,political construction,ideological construction,organizational construction,style construction and institutional construction of Communist Youth League in colleges and universities.Research methods for the study include contradiction analysis,combination of literature research and survey research,unification of theory and practice,and combination of macroscopic research and microscopic case study.Through the overall research on the construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities and the in-depth discussion of the basic issues in various fields,this paper seeks a cracking path based on the analysis of the causes of the problem,trying to reveal some characteristics and laws of the construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities in the new era and to build a “five-in-one” theoretical framework for the construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities.It is intended to carry out beneficial attempts and explorations for the construction research of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities and even the construction research of the Communist Youth League of China from a new perspective.The self-construction of the Communist Youth League of colleges and universities in this study refers to the process that the Communist Youth League strengthens its original aspiration,optimizes its structure,standardizes its behavior,corrects its style and improves its system under the political system created by the Communist Party of China.It is guided by the Sinicized Marxist theory,directly based on the Marxist League theory,and realized through a series of standardized forms such as education and training mechanism,selection and appointment mechanism,strict management mechanism and incentive and restraint mechanism.The main content and framework of this paper can be summarized as follows:First,it focuses on the theoretical basis of the self-construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities in the new era,which is the Marxist League theory,especially the youth view of Marx and Engels and the important remarks on youth organizations,as well as Lenin’s important remarks on the construction of the Communist Youth League.The guiding ideology is the basic views of Mao Zedong,Deng Xiaoping,Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao on the construction of the Communist Youth League,and the direct guiding ideology is General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on youth work.Then it discusses the practical guiding significance of these important remarks to the construction of the Communist Youth League of colleges and universities in the new era,by which the scientific nature of the “five in one” pattern.Second,in view of the problems that the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities has not placed political construction in a prominent position,the tendency of a gap between the construction of the Party and the League,the gap between the political awareness and political ability of the cadres of the Communist Youth League of colleges and universities and the requirements of the new era,this paper deeply analyzes the causes of the problems and discusses the ways to strengthen the political construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities.It is pointed out that the political construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities in the new era is to adhere to the leadership of the Party,and to always take the Party’s political program as the goal,the the problems of the ideological construction mechanism of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities,such as the lack of pertinence of the content of ideological construction products,forms of poor fashion and the lack of supply channels.Focus has been put on the feasible path of making the “lofty” ideological construction achieved in a practical manner.It is stressed that to strengthen the ideological construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities in the new era,we must continue to arm the League with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,to make it a priority to strengthen the ideals and beliefs of the members and constantly improve the actual effect of the ideological construction.Fourth,the political,hierarchical,self-adaptive,coordinated and stable characteristics of the construction of Communist Youth League in colleges and universities in the new era are discussed.In response to the problems of weak construction of grassroots organizations,cadres teams and members teams in the construction of the Communist Youth League organizations in colleges and universities,corresponding measures are put forward,for instance,comprehensively strengthening the team building of League members,vigorously enhancing the vitality of grassroots league branches,creatively improving the “three meetings,two practices and one lesson”,striving to improve the effectiveness of the integration of class and League construction,and comprehensively strengthening the team construction of league cadres.It is stated that the construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities are in accordance with the principle of democratic centralism and the provisions of the League constitution.It expands league scales,improves the system of League’s organizational system and organizational life,strengthens the development,education and management of League members,builds a high-quality cadre’s team of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities,and enhances the cohesion,organization and fighting capacity of the League,so as to make the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities more powerful and full of vitality.Fifth,in view of the “four tendencies” and the phenomenon of formalism and bureaucracy in the style construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities in the new era characterized by repeatability,moldability and difficulty,it is clearified that the style construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities in the new era should base on theory and practice and go deep with young students.Whether the League is in close contact with young students should be taken as an important indicator to measure the effectiveness of the style construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities.We should continue to carry forward the practice of criticism and self-criticism,adhere to the political,advanced and mass nature of the League,eliminate the institutionalization,administration,aristocracy and entertainment tendencies,and comprehensively promote the construction of the ideological style,working style,cadres’ life style,academic style as well as literary style and meeting style of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities.Sixth,it points out that there are some problems in the construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities,such as the imperfect system,the untimely establishment,abolition and reform,and the vague system boundary.At the same time,it demonstrates global,stable and long-term features,while also embodies innovation,practicality and certain foresight according to the actual situation.Stress has been made that in order to strengthen the system construction,it is necessary to build a coordinated supporting system with the League constitution as evidence and specific guidelines and problem as its orientation,and utilize the system through all aspects of the construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities,so as to improve the execution ability and ensure the implementation of all rules and regulations.Seventh,in view of the problems and challenges faced by the self-construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities,this paper explains promoting the construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities in the new era with the spirit of reform.The reform of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities is an important means to strengthen the self-construction,and also a process of self-perfection and self-development.The reform of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities is in the same the practical innovation and theoretical innovation of the self-construction of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities,and give better play to the educational function of it.
