The 1990 s were times worthy of high attention. With the process of market reform,China has undergone profound changes from its economic system to its social structure. However,as the reform gradually enters the deep-water area,it accordingly faces many tough nuts to crack, and these tough nuts generated in the reform process gradually become a hindrance to reform.Under the situation,a great debate between liberalism and new leftwing ideological trends discussing the direction of China’s reforms was sparked. From the current perspective, they did have a great impact on the later evolution of Chinese society. With the end of the debate on the two major trends of thought and their fading from the public’s vision, the academic circles begun to conduct intensive research on them. However, when several treatises have been formed around the liberalism trend, systematic research on the new left-wing trend remains to be advanced. Therefore, based on the theory of sociology of knowledge and combined with the profound theoretical insights of sociology of transition, this paper systematically discusses the realistic background, basic propositions and influences of the rise of the new left-wing thought trend. This study believes that the realistic background of the rise of the new left-wing trend of thought is: the reform model of "stabilizing authority and promoting the economy",as well as the transition of the market economy system, the "break" of social structure and the ecological environment crisis caused by it.Around these major issues, the original enlightenment knowledge camp was divided, and the new left-wing ideological trend suddenly emerged. The study finds that the new left-wing scholars are "traversing" Western left-wing theories to interpret the above-mentioned issues of the times.Taking Wang Hui,Cui Zhiyuan and Gan Yang as cases, this research has carried out a detailed discussion on the process of theoretical "traversing".The study points out that the triple filtering of Western left-wing theory in the process of "translation" has led to the inability to properly interpret the corresponding issues when it is "reconstructed" with the issues of the Chinese era.Based on the existing research, this research summarizes the claims of the new leftwing ideological trend under the "reconstruction" of the times, and believes that there is a "misplacement" between its claims and the real issues of the times. At the same time, the misplacement will have far-reaching impacts on real society and future social transformation. The innovation of this research is that taking the new left-wing trend of thought as the research object can make up for the "missing link" in the study of intellectual history, and the data collection around the topic can correct the existing research gap.In addition, this study makes an attempt to study the history of ideas with sociological theory and methods. On the basis of the existing literature, the paper proposes the concept of "reconstruction" and combines the two aspects of the sociology of knowledge, and operates the analytical framework of the discussion on the new left-wing,hen does systematically research on it.The theoretical dialogue significance of the research is that it can not only expand the traditional reference frame of the sociology of knowledge, improve the analytical ability of the sociology of knowledge, but also help to strengthen the accumulation of relevant theoretical knowledge such as the background of transition sociology. At the same time, since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, there have been many "new changes" in the country and society. The discussion on the influence of the new leftwing ideology also has the utility of observing and analyzing macro-level Chinese politics, and it will help all sectors to think about how to realize the rise of a civilized country after the rise of prosperity as a country.
