Research On The Education Of College Students’ Ideal And Belief From The Perspective Of Major Social Public Crisis

The global response to significant public crises in society from the end of 2019 to the beginning of 2023 and the joint fight against the COVID-19 pneumonia epidemic have brought great impact on all areas of the world.It have also put forward new requirements and tasks for universities to carry out education on the ideals and beliefs of college students.At the same time,college students ideal and belief education is essential to crisis management in the face of significant social crises.As an educational activity with thought leadership,practice formation and value shaping,ideological education can provide correct public opinion and behavior guidance for college students,alleviate their panic and improve their ability and quality of coping with crises in the face of social major public crisis events."When the youth is strong,the country is strong." College students,as the new force of socialist modernization construction,are in the sensitive and critical period of values formation,and they must be guided to firmly establish the ideals and beliefs of communism and socialism at this stage,so that they can shoulder the important responsibility of realizing the "Chinese dream" of great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.In the process of coping with major public crises in society,education on ideals and beliefs plays an important role in preventing and weakening the negative impact of major public crises in society,and provides great spiritual support for the people,especially for college students in the new era to play their function in the major historical tasks of the new era and actively intervene in major public crises in society.It is an objective need to cope with the governance of major social crises and an inevitable requirement of the ideological and faith education itself combined with the development of realistic practice.Under the risk society,the future ’in crisis’ will gradually evolve from the ’extraordinary’to the ’new normal’.Therefore,this paper takes the ideal and belief education of college students under the perspective of social major public crisis as the topic of the study to combat the new normal.It is an urgent requirement for the education of university students’ ideals and beliefs to be included in the study of the relevant issues in the context of combating the socially significant public crisis event of the New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemic.The ideals and beliefs of socialism with Chinese characteristics mainly refer to the great ideals of communism and the common ideals of socialism with Chinese characteristics,which are mainly expressed in real life as the beliefs of Marxism,socialism with Chinese characteristics and the confidence to realize the Chinese dream of great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.In response to major public crises in society,education on ideals and beliefs should be useful and promising.In this paper,we study the ideological and regligious education of college students in the context of major public crises,taking the fight against the COVID-19 pneumonia epidemic as a new perspective as the research base.Secondly,the empirical analysis was conducted,and more than11,000 people participated in the formal questionnaire and interviews after the questionnaire was revised and improved on the basis of 420 people’s participation in the pre-study,so as to grasp the current situation and problems of the ideal and belief education of college students under the major public crisis of fighting against the COVID-19 pneumonia epidemic,and to analyze the causes of the problems from subjective and objective factors,deepen the theoretical understanding,and enrich the practical research,this thesis tries to explore the ways of strengthening the education of college studentsideals and beliefs and the mechanism of optimizing the education of college students ideal and belief in the management of the major social crisis,to enhance the ability of college students in the face of significant social crisis and firm,lofty ideals and beliefs for the cultivation of new people with firm beliefs to provide strong support.College students’ ideal beliefs need to be cultivated and sharpened continuously for a long time,and combined with the realistic background of the times,to keep pace with the times and practice them continuously in order to realize the consolidation and firmness of ideal beliefs.It is a long-term training which requires both opening up the first situation in the change and nurturing the first opportunity in the crisis.In the post-epidemic era,the situation and environment of ideal and faith education of college students are more complicated.This study is of great significance to realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.In particular,it is manifested in the theoretical construction of ideological and political education disciplines,the development of college students ideological and religious education,the response to significant public crisis events in society,and college students ideological and religious education.
