Study On The Sawfly Taxonomy And Fauna In The Districts Of Beijing City, Tianjin City And Hebei Province

The sawfly faunas in the districts of Beijing City, Tianjin City and Hebei Province (BTH) from China were analyzed on the datum of 5 investigations which were performed from May 2007 to July 2008 by the author. During two years, the author tidied up the sawfly exemplars which were deposited in the Insect Collection of Central South University of Forestry and Technology.317 sawfly species including subspecies belong to 10 families,10 subfamilies and 101 genera.5 new synonymies are proposed. Among them, 62 species are new to science,5 species are new record from China,104 species are new record to Hebei province including 4 species which are new record to Beijing City and 1 species which is new record to Tianjin City.12 new species are described and illustrated in detail:Arge bui sp. nov., Spinarge heterocarina sp. nov., Macrophya maculipennis Wei et Li,2009, Macrophya leucotrochanterata sp. nov., Pachyprotasis zhoujingqingi sp. nov., Tenthredo maculocollaris sp. nov., Tenthredo pseudovaricolor sp. nov., Tenthredo spinipulchra sp. nov., Metallopeus sunae sp. nov., Tenthredo paraobsoleta sp. nov., Tenthredo pseudomesomela sp. nov. and Astethomostus acutitheca sp. nov.. A key to families and a key to superfamilies of sawflies in BTH are also provided.According to Eastern Asia fauna compartmentalization measure, fauna analyses of BTH show that Eastern Asia fauna elements is the principal part, accounting for 79.179 percent of total species. The second is the Palaearctic elements (20.505 percent). The Holarctic elements is the least. Among 5 Eastern Asia elements, the endemic element to China is relatively predominant in BTH (44.795 percent). The endemic element to China is the core of Eastern Asia elements.According to the Jaccard dual similarity index, the sawfly faunas of Shandong Province, Henan Province and of BTH are calculated. Compared to the similarity index between Shandong Province and BTH, the similarity index between Henan Province and BTH is higher.According to the distribution of known sawfly species of BTH, the distribution is divided into 3 biogeography districts which are Southeast plain of Hebei, Northwest hill of Hebei and Zhangbei altiplano of Hebei. Among them, Northwest hill of Hebei is the distribution center of sawfly in the province. The sawfly species of BTH are divided into 4 patterns of geography distribution which are Southeast plain distribution of Hebei, Zhangbei altiplano of Hebei, Northwest hill distribution of Hebei and Zhangbei altiplano-Western north hill distribution. Among 4 patterns of geography distribution, the proportion of Northwest hill distribution of Hebei is predominant relatively (92.114 percent). However, the proportion of the rest 3 geography patterns is 7.886 percent of total species.
