Fauna And Taxonomy Of Sawflies In Shandong Province

Through two years collection of sawflies in Shandong Province, and borrowed some specimens from Shandong Agricultural University and Laiyang Agricultural University, there are total 84 sawflies, belongs to 11 families, are investigated. Among them, nine species are described as new to science:Macrophya maculotarsalina Wei et Liu sp. nov.,Macrophya eucarinatalia Wei et Liu sp. nov.,Dolerus convexilis Wei sp. nov. ,Tenthredo taianensis Wei sp. nov.,Ametastigia semidenta Wei et Liu sp. nov.,Arge laoshanensis Wei sp. nov.,Hemibeleses nigroterga Wei sp. nov.,Nematus taianensis Wei et Liu sp. nov.,Pachynematus chui Wei et Liu sp. nov.;Three species are firstly recorded from China:Macrophya femorata Marlatt 1898,Tenthredo eduardi (Forsius, 1919),Birka cinereipes (Klug, 1814);Thirty-four species are firstly recorded in Shandong Province. Male of Pachyprotasis caii Wei et Nie, 1998 and Pristiphora oligalucina Wei, 2002 are firstly recorded and described. A key to family and a key to species of sawflies in Shandong Province are also provided.According to the distribution of known species from the region, the fauna of Shandong Province is divided into 4 biogeography districts. Distribution analysis shows that there are 58 species in Central-south of Shandong Province, 67.86% of total; 35 species in East of Shandong, 41.67% of total; 11 species distributed in Western-north of Shandong; 12 species in Western-south of Shandong. Central-south and East of Shandong are the two distribution centers of sawflies in the Province. Fauna analysises shows that Eastern Asia fauna elements is the principal part in Shandong Province, accounting for 72.6% of total species; the second is the Palaearctic elements, 15.5% of total; the last is Oriental elements, only 2.4%. Endemic species in Shandong is aboundence, accounting for 16.7% of total.
