Two-phase flow is commonly used in many fields such as energy, power, nuclear, oil, chemical. Therefore, how to reduce two-phase flow maldistribution is an important factor to improve the economy and security of equipment. A further experimental investigation was carried out to analysis the effect of the interior flute configurations on flow distribution characteristics in radial inlet parallel multi-branch header aiming in the problem of two-phase maldistribution in manifold. Four test sections which have different configurations were designed. Experiment with different quality, gas flow mass rate and liquid flow mass rate were conducted on an air-water two-phase experimental loop. Comparisons of distribution characteristics and standard deviation were made later. The comparisons showed that distribution characteristics were improved by changing the heater geometry. The distribution characteristics of 7#,8# test sections were better than others and still good with the effect of the operation conditions. Two-phase flow distribution in Tee junction is very important as a basic unit of the heater. Predictions on flow distribution in a horizontal impacting tee junction were made based on the modeling of El-Shaboury and comparisons between predictions and data were made. The modeling conducted by momentum equation, continuity equation, empirical equation was applied to many inlet flow regimes such as wavy, stratified and annular.
