Vocational education is an important part of higher education with the aim of educating technical personnel. Math, the culture base of professional knowledge, plays an important role in vocational education. The position of math course should have its own subject characteristics and teaching features. This course should observe the principle of"using is the aim and sufficiency is the point"to carry out reforms.This paper first described the position of math in vocational education and analyzed the present state of teaching periods, teaching materials and teaching. The problem is the course doesn't meet the needs of the development of vocational education. This paper gave some reforming advice about curriculum, course content and teaching methods. The course should be separated into different parts and the introduction of math software should be separated into the fundamental part to cultivate students'ability to solve math problems with the software. The concept of teaching content should be professional---concept----professional and bring the software into full play. Use more examples during the teaching course. The examining mode should combine open book exam with examination together. The examining content should turn from arithmetic ability to practical ability. At last, this paper described the reformation of math teaching in accounting major.
