This paper statistically analyzed national lightning disasters on time, space, industry distribution, economic losses and casualties on the basis of "1998-2009 National lightning compiled" which published by Office of Lightning Protection and Disasters Alleviation of China Meteorological Administration. And establish a national database of lightning disaster on which design and develop of a national lightning disaster inquiry and analysis system Based.The analysis system is to achieve the input of the national lightning disaster information. lightning disaster involving industry, region, type of the device damagement and other related information to the orderly management. In addition, it can make using of Chart control and the secondary development MapX map control to finish the graphical analysis on distribution features of national lightning disaster, Regional spatial and temporal distribution of lightning disaster, the serious economic losses to lightning disaster and the typical personal injury and other aspects of lightning disaster.we can make using of lightning disaster Charts query interface statistical analysis On the base of completion on the establishment of the national database and development with the national lightning disaster query and analysis system.And conclude that there are total of 64 serious lightning disasters which the economic losses over 500 millionNationwide between 1998-2009, involving the domestic 18 provinces,of which the most serious in Guangdong Province, nearly eleven cases occurred in recent years;followed by the Zhejiang Province,total of ten cases occured in recent years. Fewer provinces occurred in Jiangsu Province, Liaoning Province, Shaanxi Province, all occurred in 2 cases.On statistical summary of the lightning disaster that invovled 28 industries in recent years, and found that the most five serious top lightning disaster industries were communications, power, petrochemical, manufacturing, and government departments. Statistical analysis the main reason led to the lightning disaster is the Lightning protection device is not installed, followed reason is that the protection system is imperfect.The number of casualties occur in rural areas still occupies a heavier proportion in Lightning casualty incidents throughout the country. According to the environmental analysis of lightning casualty incidents showed that the lightning personal injury disaster most likely occurred in the field.Secondry is the open land (yard, roof, etc.), the big tree, mountain, and the buildings which there is no lightning protection measures. In addition, the buildings which is no lightning protection measures and in the vicinity of waters or other places are also relatively more cases occurred.Personal injury accidents caused by lightning disaster occurred more serious provinces are Guangdong, Hainan, Fujian, Sichuan, Guizhou, Anhui, and Jiangxi. The Northwest Provinces is the lightning casualty of several low-prone areas. The people who died in the lightning disaster, the more age is between 10-20 years old, 30-40 years old,40-60 years old. Male mortality than women, the death of male to female ratio is about 2.28:1. Analysis on causes of death by lightning who found that cloud-to-the reasons accounting for 82% of the total reasons, followed by the lightning and the step voltage due to lateral.
