Incremental Updating has been a hot issue of spatial database updating. Continuous updating and flexible service has become the major tasks of the Chinese national mapping agency who has set up national fundamental geographic databases. The author summarizes and analyses the researches about the classification, collection and edition, organization, check of change-only information. Based on the base state with amendments model, an integrated solution including change-only information's description, organization, checking and incremental updating methods based on the change-only information are proposed in this paper. The main works in this thesis are summarized as follows:1) An optimized solution about change-only information'collecting is designed, which combines the technologies of digital draft and Geotag with tablet PC and PDA. This solution can improve the efficiency of change-only information collecting.2) After analysis the possible graphic operations in change-only information's collecting and processing, the author proposes an method to get the change type of the edited objects automaticly (or semi-automaticly) during the process. At last, a check mechanism of change-only information is designed.3) A set of dynamic operations for spatio-temporal data base based on base state with amendments model are defined in the paper. The incremental updating methods and process of spatio-temporal data based on change-only information are presented using the dynamic operations.4) A prototype system of change-only information's collection and updating is developed using visual studio 2008, which realizes the functions mentioned before. At last, a set experiments is used to verify the reasonability and practicability of the approaches presented in this paper.
