Spatio-temporal model is the foundation of TGIS. The modal of base state with amendments is the most suitable model to describe the parcel land change. The research and applications on the model have been carried out for a long time and obtained many achievements. However, it would be inefficient to realize the query and redivivus of the history information based on the modal if there were many changes recorded for the cumulation of the deltafile.Based on the study on the model of base state with amendments and its extented model, a 4-Domain Multilevel Model of base state with amendments (4DMMBSA) is put forwarded. The 4DMMBSA represents the spatio-temporal change integrated spatial domain, property domain, event domain and action domain. The research includes following items.Firstly, the characters of spatio-temporal cohesion and the spatio-property cohesion are analysed and the advantages and shortcomings of the model of base state with amendmentsare summarized. Secondly, based on the study of the spatio-temporal change rules, the feature and the spatio-temporal change are described by the integration of four domains. A new model 4DMMBSA deprived from the model of base state with amendments is prompted. At last, the 4DMMBSA model is applied in the landuse change information management system LandEx.The study and application show that the 4DMMBSA model store and manage spatio-temporal data with low redundancy and trace history information efficiently.
