Exploration Perspective Of Coal In The Area From Southern Zhadu Mine To Outside Of Maoyi Mine.

According to the research results of "Hunan Carboniferous Sedimentary Environment and Discipline of Coal Distribution", the study area locates at Lianyuan coal center, one of three carboniferous coal centers in Hunan, which possesses good depositional environment and coal-forming conditions. In fact, western part of the study area is the Lengshui Jiang area, eastern part is Jinzhushan area, northern part is Zhadu mining area. All of the three coal mining areas are the best coal-bearing ones in Lianyuan. Therefore, predictable original sedimentary and coal-bearing conditions are good in study area.This study is fully based on previous available data. Through the comprehensive geological and data analysis of the area, and the exposed coal seam condition plus data of surface geological exploration, the study gets a new understanding of the area with the following main achievements:(1) A systematic study has been conducted on the formation of the study area, including the entire northern section of Lianshao coal area, thus etermined the coal stratus and coal zones.(2) A detailed study on decollement zone in Middle Human including its typical characteristics and its previous study has served as a theoretical basis for the control of coal in this area.(3) The study on sedimentary environment and coal-forming law in this area has helped determine that the area has a good arboniferous coal deposition environment and coal forming, and Lianyuan is the center of coal forming.(4) Decollement theory has been applied to re-understand the formation of the study area, and helped find that Jinpanlun Fault(F1) is the main controlling coal formation which is a large-scale northwest to southeast overthrust, that the entire southern section of the former Zhadu mining area and Maoyi mining area is its upper thrust, and that the measured water coal system (C1c) which serves as the lower part of the original system is a syncline structure(south of Yianjiapu) and is a concealed coal bearing area under Jinpanlun Fault(F1)(5) Based on available information on concealed coal bearing areas, a resource prediction with a resource(334) of 30.75 million tons has been obtained and provided a good exploration target area for the next survey which has been among the coal exploring plan on North Lianshao of Middle Hunan.
