The Tanhuipu structural basin where the work area is located is covered with the earlier Cambrian metamorphosis substrate.Ordovician limestone is pushed over the Carboniferous strata due to gliding nappe structure of the eastern foothills of Taihangshan,and the gliding nappe structure controls the occurrence state of coal seam in work area.How to find coal for the gliding nappe structure is the key to the problem.It is difficult to find coal under the gliding nappe structure,so the thesis taking the expansion survey of the Tanhuipu Coal Mine as an example,combined with the geological data of the past,analyzes and studies the coal control function of the gliding nappe structure under the geological conditions which is covered by the surface cliffs and underground magma rocks all over the work area.Based on the geological data of the past and the geodesic characteristics of the work area,both of the survey and exploration work will be enforced in the work area.Considering the construction duration and cost comprehensively,the thesis compares the advantages and disadvantages of commonly used exploration methods,and selects the main exploration methods such as electricity method,drilling,lane exploration,with logging verification,engineering survey and other exploration means of field construction methods for comprehensive construction.Finally,the construction results will be used to make up for weakness.The results of construction are as follows.First,the results of electricity method have certain limitations.Second,drilling by the terrain and the current technical level can not achieve the desired effect.Last but not least,it is more significant to use the combination of underground up and down excavation.Through the above exploration means and combined with the previous data,the thesis finds out the stratospheric sequence and the existential state of the main coal-mining seam No.6 which is stored in the Lower Yumengou member of carboniferous Taiyuan formation.Lane exploration reveals that the thickness of the main coal seam is 3.65 m on average,and finds the structure of the coal seam is complex and stable.By the construction results,characteristics of the main fault Fn1 and the development degree and distribution range of other small structures are identified.Besides,the expected exploration degree is reached,and it is success to find out coal under the gliding nappe structure.
